I stayed at the da log house for 13 days. I was a little worried at first about staying at a bed-and-breakfast. Daniel and Susie made me fill like I was one of the family the aloha Spirit is very much alive at Da Log House. They are off a very well maintained gravel road In Hawaiian acres Not too... More

I spent 9 nights at Da Log House in late February on a geocaching vacation on the big island. My first trip in on the typically-Hawaiian narrow roads was exciting, but I love locations that are slightly remote, especially in a tropical setting. Never fear, everything is modern, clean, and comfortable at Da Log House. Danny and Susie and Tara... More

Excellent hospitality and accommodation. Clean, comfortable room - loved the deck and great breakfasts. Daniel and Susie were outstanding hosts, very informative and helpful. Enjoyed learning what I could about Hawai'i in the two days I stayed there. Just about right in the middle between Hilo and Volcano, making both areas very accessible. A solid value. Mahalo.

First, my wife and I aren't big B&B stayers. So we are always a little apprehensive when we go to a new place. We landed in Hilo about 6:30PM, got something to eat and headed to Da Log House. It is starting to get dark. It is about a half hour outside of Hilo. To get there you start out... More

My husband and I stayed at Da Log House for a couple nights as part of our 10th anniversary trip to Hawaii/Big Island. The location is about an hour drive from Volcano, and maybe 30 minutes from HiLo. The owners have a beautiful log cabin with a couple rooms available for rent. Compared to other B&B experiences, we felt more... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Susie and Daniel are wonderful hosts and really went out of their way to provide us with advice, various equipment needs, and tasty breakfasts. This is a convenient location if you are planning to visit Puna and Volcan NP.
