I will be very careful here as my comment may affect business of this hotel, this is not my intention but I want to share what I experienced. We stayed here for 4 nights as per tips of fellow Tripadvisor members. My family of 2 boys, my wife and mother in law all stayed here. Pros: - "Crater" Room given... More

We recently stayed in Volcano Inn for 3 nights. Not fancy, but nice place and good value. We used the hot tub every night, and enjoyed looking out the second story window at the enormous ferns!!! It's near the park, and easy location from which to see Hilo and the east side. We didn't get to Puna, but that's in... More

We stayed here for two nights while exploring Volcano National Park. We had a family room, with kitchenette, two beds, and a pull-out sofa. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. The room was very clean, though it did smell a bit musty initially. We really like that it had tile floors rather than carpet. The kitchenette was nice... More

We stayed here for one night while hiking around Volcano National Park. We kept our room at our Kohala Resort, packed a bag and spent two full days enjoying the sights. I highly recommend doing this. So many vacationers make the 6 hour round trip drive in one day, then when at the volcano, they rush through, snap a few... More

Second stay here (first was in Sept '05). The place had grown considerably since the last time I was here. This time visited with a friend as part of our island hopping extravaganza. We didn't have a reservation so we just stopped by hoping they had a room, which luckily for us they did. We parked in the small gravel... More

My wife and I stayed in one of the corner rooms (across the highway from the main hotel and office) for two nights on our recent honeymoon trip. Before getting there, the owner was very helpful in getting us to the hotel in time for check in after our flight was delayed 3 hours. Once there, we found check in... More

We spent 3 nights at the Volcano Inn, in the Kilauea Iki suite. Absolutely amazing. Beautiful, clean room with a HUGE corner window that looks out into the rain forest. The grounds are full of lush tropical plant and beautiful flowers. There's also a great hot tub available 24 hrs a day. The kitchenette had everything we needed including coffee,... More

Although we visited during an unfortunately rainy period, the Inn was charming, Thanks to the electric blanket and efficient wall heater we were cozy and warm. The bed linens were a little on the shabby side and the hot water heater could have used a boost, but the towels were fluffy and warm, and the room was spacious as well... More
