Kalaheo Inn is an affordable place to stay on Kauai. Considering that it is not a full-service resort with restaurant, fitness center, pool, etc., it is an affordable, convenient place to stay. We stay at the Inn for our business needs at Port Allen Harbor - to which it is conveniently located. The 2 bedroom unit we stay in is... More

Kalaheo Inn is a great place to stay. I recently stayed with a couple friends and found the inn to be quite comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are always very clean. It had all the necessities of the perfect vacation and more. It is like a home away from home. I also liked how close... More

I knew that the inn would be anything but a resort or anything like that but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable it was. The room we stayed in had many commodities and other things we needed such as microwave, an oven/stove, and even plates/silverware. All things considered, I would recommend this place for anyone staying in... More

We chose the Kalaheo Inn because of their friendly prices and its central location between the Poipu/Koloa area and the Western side of the island where we wanted to do some hiking at Kokee State Park. We knew it would be a smaller inn but when we arrived we were surprised by the number of units they had and how... More

This place seemed ok at first glance as it was relatively inexpensive and situated only a 20 minute drive from some beaches. But upon further inspection, the mattress was not comfortable, the couch was dust infested, the walls were paper thin affording the opportunity to hear the next rooms television very clearly. The bathroom door was not really a door,... More

In response to our newest scathing review: “Ice Cold Showers not worth any price” Dec 9, 2010 | Trip type: Couples, by BeachvsMountains (K. Klein) New York City http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/BeachvsMountains. As you well know, a business’ reputation determines the success or failure of that business. The Kalaheo Inn was founded in the mid-1990s and managed by “local” Kauai folks. Throughout the... More

The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave me maps and advices where to go. The Steak and Ribs restaurant offers a good menu and friendly services. My room is very cosy with kitchenette and clean. I am extremely satisfied with the unpretentious style which blend with the nature very well. Ask the reception where to hire a jeep to go... More

We selected Kalaheo Inn because we were traveling on a budget. That being said we understood that we not staying at the fanciest place. We stayed in the house at the rear of the property. At about 9 pm we could hear the loud noises from the nearby restaurant and someone was walking back and forth behind the house until... More

I've just returned from a 10 day stay on Kauai. My daughter and I stayed at the Kalaheo Inn for the first three days of our trip. If you are looking for a mega-resort with all the ammenities, Kalaheo Inn is not for you. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, convenient motel on the south shore that... More

We stayed at the Inn for two nights before joining the rest of our family at another resort. We arrived late and our room was left open with the key inside. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with a small kitchen. It was one of the only "budget" hotels I could find for our family of 5. The linens... More

We stayed here for one night as a base for exploring the Southern part of the island. After deciding that Poipu was too expensive, we looked at Kalaheo and decided to try here. Our room was a good size but the bed was very tall, about 80cm off the floor! Everything was clean and functional but I wouldn't stay here... More
