Quiet, restful. We spent half of our honeymoon here, and it was perfect. It rained a couple of days, and we were glad to not be in a hotel. We were made to feel at home right away, and it felt like staying with a relative or friend who gave us total privacy.

Aloha Steve P, Congratulations again on your marriage and thank you for your great review. I agree with you, that when it is raining on the island, Kauai Banyan is a great place to be. Luckily the rain usually comes in brief showers and never stays for long. I look forward to having you return for an anniversary visit. Mahalo,... More

My husband and I loved staying here for our honeymoon. We stayed in "The Cottage" which was perfect for us as it was a bit removed from the main inn house. The rooms were incredibly clean and well-kept with everything we could need from cooking supplies, a grill, oven/stove, refrigerator, etc. There was also a hot tub that guests could... More

After searching and reviewing numerous properties for rent in Kauai..we came across the Kauai Banyan Inn. Being an avid researcher...the personalized service from the owner, the location on the island, the peacefulness and serenity of the vista from our balcony....it all paid off. The simple beauty of the wooden floors and ceiling, the comfort of the king size bed..and a... More

This was the perfect place to start out our trip, and wish we could have spent a few nights more, but had already booked another place in Princeville for the rest of our stay. We stayed in the Koa Suite, and it was totally relaxing and had a wonderful non-ocean view from our deck. Lorna was wonderful making reservations and... More

Aloha Nick L Thank you for your review. I agree the Koa has a wonderful non ocean view. Just looking out at the 300 year old Banyan Tree and the Kahili mountain range is relaxing. Hope to have you visit again and stay your entire trip at Kauai Banyan. Mahalo Lorna More

I write this from the Ulu suite at the Kauai Banyan Inn. This was a near perfect base of operations for our first week-long visit to the Garden Isle. It is in a lovely, secluded location that is also reasonably central to Waimea Canyon, Poipu Beach and Wailua. The room is large and very well appointed, with a wonderful, comfortable... More

We arrived at the Kauai Banyan Inn not knowing what to expect other than what was described in their web site. We chose it because it was close to our daughter and her family who had recently moved to Lawai. We wanted the Ali'i suite #7after seeing it in the web site, but we couldn't get it until the last... Thank you Mark 6299 for your review and suggestions. I am happy you enjoyed your stay at Kauai Banyan. There are several comments in this review that I would like to answer. The breakfast -- As I write this owner's response--none of my guests have left their rooms as yet and it is 10:30 a.m.--and sunny. I can't imagine knocking... More

My partner and I stayed in three places throughout Hawaii for two weeks in early March. The Kauai Banyan was by far our favorite. The Ulu Suite was tastefully decorated with a gorgeous vista, perfectly clean, and thoughtfully stocked with numerous essentials - coffee, oil and vinegar, spices, etc. (It also came with many surprises - cooler, beach towels, laundry,... We booked the Pueo Suite for 5 days and we enjoyed it ! Lorna is a very welcoming and warmful lady. She took enough time to talk about her island and give us advices about the places to go (beaches, restautants, tours…). The inn is well located in a very quiet place with a beautiful luxury garden with lots of... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Kauai Banyon for 6 wonderful nights. All the good things people have said about Lorna is true. She is great to talk with and had really good suggestions and knowledge of the island and things to do & places to go. She made herself available for anything her guests may need (including her... Thank you Karen P. I enjoyed reading your review and was happy to note you enjoyed your stay at Kauai Banyan. The repair to the slight leak in the lanai roof is under way. Our March/April showers, plus occupancy have somewhat slowed the process-- Mahalo, Lorna More

My husband and I recently stayed in the cottage at the Kauai Banyan Inn for almost a week. We found it very comfortable, attractive, impeccably clean and well-maintained (can't imagine what the earlier cranky reviewer was referring to), very well-equipped, and a great base for exploring more of the island. Did we stay any place we liked better? Yes, but... More
