I stayed at the Inn Waimei a second time, and it was just as good the second time around. I stayed in the Hibiscus suite (on the 2nd floor) for two nights and then moved over to the Bamboo Suite for five more nights. I liked the Bamboo Suite better because you can hear the ocean, but both rooms are... More

Inn Waimea is a nice place to stay, people where nice, the room was very cute, but i rather not suggest it. Not because of the Inn Waimea, but because of Waimea. Hard to find any restaurant open in the area, it is also very hard to sleep with all the wild chickens surounding the house. The island is so... More

Perfect for an overnight on Waimea side of island! Two room suite with pull-out sofa (Hibiscus) worked well for our family of 3. Bed was very comfortable. Fridge with water and drinks, as well as coffee maker and glasses, mugs, etc. made this an easy space to eat-in rather than go out again. Good parking. Yes, other reviews are right... More

Not too much to say other than it's an excellent getaway spot that feels like home. There's a great view of the canyon from the back porch and kitchen area. We were sad to leave our home away from home. This isn't the main inn location, but one of the cottages you can book from them directly. Waimea beach isn't... More

I recently traveled to Kauai for the first time, and over the course of my vacation stayed at Inn Waimea, then at a B&B, and lastly at a 5-star resort. While all 3 accommodations were above expectation, Inn Waimea was by far the best value. The Banana Suite is twice the size and half the cost of your average nice... More

We wanted to stay in Waimea to be near Waimea Canyon for a night or two of our trip to Kauai. We were really pleasantly surprised how nice the inn and our room was. We were in the Banana Suite, which has a sitting room, bedroom with king bed, and large bathroom with huge jacuzzi tub. The innkeeper, Lorraine, greeted... More

Stayed in the Bambo Stuite which was one lot off the ocean. Could hear the waves crashing at night. No air conditioning but breeze through the open windows off the ocean was great. This would be a great place to stay if you were going to go to Waimea Canyon. It was also about a 20 minute drive to Poipu... More

Great location near the beach, an art gallery/espresso stand, and the Shrimp Station (Coconut Shrimp 2 nights in a row!). Our suite (Bamboo) had more space than 2 people need, and the house was very quiet. In the bedroom you could hear the ocean at night and the breezes were wonderful. Good place from where to visit Waimea Canyon which... More

Stayed here four nights at the end of April 2010.As suggested by another reviewer, I stayed in the Bamboo Room and got a nice cool breeze all the time. You can also here the ocean, since the beach is only about 50 yards away. The Inn Waimei and its room are not fancy , but they are neat, clean and comfortable,... More

Reserve the Bamboo room as its windows are the ocean side. You get a view of the ocean from the desk and the tradewinds come through the bedroom and sitting room.
