This Hotel was beautiful- the view was Breath taking... My family and I stayed for 2 nights at this Hotel. We were in Room 1. This Hotel is a Hidden Gem... The pull out couch was so comfortable.Just as comfortable as the bed...Can not wait to go back. Only one problem, if you do not have a room on top... More

I booked this place in mid 2011 for a trip May 2012. At the time there was no mention of them NOT having TV. Upon arrival my wife noticed that there wasn't a TV in the room. She wasn't very pleased since most shows we watch are in their final episodes. I went to the office and checked with them.... More

It is true that we do not have televisions in our units. We also do not have air conditioning or elevators. We do state this on our website and it is written in bold with yellow highlight so that if you click on our amenities and service page, you can't miss it. We are not attempting to hide this fact... We just got home from a 2 day mini vacation. We live in Maui & love to stay in Hana for a few days every once in awhile. This was our first visit to Hana Kai. 1st day all day & night party with way too much alcohol & small children next door. Seriously, we called the front desk 3... More

These are individually owned and decorated apartments so it's important to know which one you're in. They're all different. I spent a lot of time looking at each photo to make sure I knew what I was getting. #205 was great. You do need to go up one flight of stairs, but that puts you above the lower building so... More

There aren't a whole lot of options for staying in Hana, so after a great drive on the Hana highway, my wife and I ended up here. The hotel looks nice from the outside, and the rooms are well appointed, but the beds and the construction quality leave a lot to be desired. The bed was like a rock, and... More

We stayed in Hana for just one night, though we now wish we had stayed longer. Hana kai Maui was the best lodging of our entire vacation. We stayed in the oceanview unit..hana bay looks gorgeous in morning. Lanai with full-size dining table is awesome. Very clean, well maintained, spacious, all amenities available, free parking, plenty of windows..doesnt get any... More

My husband and I stayed 8 nights in unit #2, and did not regret the choice to stay our vacation in Hana. We drove back to the west side of the one one of the days, and had dinner at the Grand Wailea that evening. Although the Grand Wailea was beautiful (and pricey), it didn't compare with the beauty of... More

We stayed at the Hana Kai Maui in February. We loved our room. We stayed in a ocean view studio and found the accommodations to be quite luxurious. The decor was beautiful and very tropical. The view was great and you could hear the waves crashing. The black sand beach was right in front of the hotel. The kitchen in... More

You can spend a fortune at the big fancy Hana Hotel down the street but it's further to the beach and a lot more money. The Hana Kai has it's own black sand beach and terrific views. The grounds were nice, well maintained. Our room had a wonderful view of the beach, we could see crashing waves and surfers from... More

The room was an upper corner unit so not as noisy. It was decorated very nicely and had a great deck overlooking Hana Bay. The beach was right there and we had breakfast at Uncle Bills at the top of the hill. Very local. We drove the Hana curvy side the first day and conpleted the loop going out the... More
