Really not fancy. Really not. A bit run down also. But Jo Loyce, the manager, accepts one-nighters, which is a great advantage in a place (Hana) with so few lodging options. Jo Loyce is a courageous woman, who runs this B&B despite a physical handicap; and with a smile on top of that! I'd upgrade the place to average if... More

Aloha, thank you for your review. One night stays are very difficult, that's why most places won't do them. I know when you are on vacation, time is limited, so I decided to let people stay with a small increase in price of $25 to makeup for the extra work. It also means that it gets cleaned each time and... More

Read all the reviews and know that it is exactly what people say it is. We were prepared for that going in, and really just needed to save money. We ended up staying there as little as possible, waking up early and heading out, and hanging out in Hana until we were ready to fall asleep. Pros: Cheapest accommodations in... More

Aloha, I am sorry that you were not happy being here. I do my best to explain that it is not fancy but comfortable. It is a farm stay. I will print out your review and give it to my cleaner. He does sweep and mop the floor with vinegar and wipes the counters with it. It is not poison... More

I would simply say read the favorable reviews and the unfavorable and know that both are true. I gave it an average because it might appeal to people with an adventure spirit. But surely even with that in mind it could do better. First off it is in no way a B and B. With the little food provided and... More

Aloha,I am sorry you were not happy. I do my best to be clear on what is available for guests. I have been trying to change that swimming pool picture. I did not put it on there. I had a picture of the garden and now to manage your account, Trip Advisor requires your credit card information to address any... More

The setting here - acres and acres of lush, wonderful botanical specimens, is worth a visit in itself. Get up in the morning and stroll along the grass paths through all sorts of exotic plants and trees. There are lots of fruits - if it's ripe, you can eat it! There are two cottages, attached to each other by a... More

I have traveled the world and have NEVER stayed in a more dirtier hotel. If you like bugs...stay here. If you like dirt....stay here. If you like spider webs on your lamp shades stay here. If you like cold showers.....stay here. I went to take a shower to find a centipede in crawling around the floor! I was so creeped... More

My partner and I attempted to stay at the Hana Maui Botanical Gardens B&B in January 2010. It seemed like a reasonable price and we were up for a few days in rustic accommodations. I made a reservation well in advance and called to reconfirm everything a few days prior. I was excited to arrive after the long drive from... More

I am really sorry you have such an unhappy memory of my little place. However, it is hard to understand the need for someone to write a bad review a year after their stay?. There are so many people who really enjoy staying here, but unless i actually remember to ask them to write a review, they don't think about... More

Lovely place for those people who like natural lifestyle: walking, cooking, plants and birds around. I liked raindrops on roop, picking up the fruits from garden for breakfast, walking around with map (the owner is an interesting old lady who is not able to walk around, but she gave us a map of her garden), books and games at bangalo,... Aloha, thank you for the kind words for this old lady who can no longer walk without a walker. Pray it doesn't happen to you. Getting old is not for sissies. Somehow, you missed out on the fun places that local Hana people have to offer and I will share this information if asked about it. There are two grocery... More

We stayed here in early 2011 and really enjoyed it. Wished we had stayed longer actually. The setting is wonderful, essentially surrounded by all kinds of edible tropical plants. The time of year we were there, we only found coconuts to eat but that alone was enough fun for us. Imagine waking up to the sound of tropical birds, you... More

A warm welcome from Joloyce .It truly was a memorable B&B. Definitely a twist to the concept. The accomodations were very clean and spacious. A very novel way of getting breakfast, as you pick your own delicious mangoes, coconuts, passion fruit or avocadoes. Didn't quite think eating muffins three days in a row was the best, but it did the... More

We stayed at the Hana Botanical Gardens in February, and out only criticism is that we only allowed enough time to stay one night. If your expectations are a luxury suite, this is not for you! If you want to strep back in time to a , more quiet , peaceful era, where there is no smog or car horns,... More
