My wife and I had a 3 night stay at the Bamboo. Due to our late booking, we had the opportunity to stay in two of the suites: Ewa, and Nai'a. Let's start with the positives. Fantastic location. Close to "downtown Hana" but not close to any main road so it's very quiet. Both suites we stayed in have beautiful,... More

Hana is "my spot" in Hawaii. I don't like the crowds and tourists. Most tourists come to Hana for the day, arriving around noon and leaving by three or four. THE WHOLE REST OF THE TIME YOU HAVE HANA TO YOURSELF!!!!! ( And the locals, who give back what you put out ie: if you're friendly and respectful, so are... More

My sister, daughter and I wanted to stay over in Hana on our journey around Maui, and with no real plans I was getting a bit anxious. Luckily John had a vacancy in the Nai'a Suite. Wow. Lovely ocean view, jacuzzi tub on the lanai, gorgeous fresh flowers, and beautiful handcrafted Hawaiian quilts to keep you cozy while the breeze... More

Open your bedside door to the sound of surf rocking and rolling on a black sand beach, night and day. A night which ends watching (from porch) white waves play in the moonlight over a dark and stormy sea. A day which begins with watching (from porch) the sun rise over the ocean... More than enough. Romantic. John's breakfast baskets... More

We had booked initially at a place nearby (bamboo cottage inn, from vrbo.com) which didnt work out (thousands of ants crawling/dying all over the floor, iguana poop on the bedsheets when we arrived) - we scrambled to find something else as it was getting dark and came upon this place. We were getting quotes of $400+ for any room so... More

My boyfriend and I stayed one night in August when we visited eastern Maui, the most gorgeous part of Maui in my opinion. We were in the ‘Iwa suite. LOCATION Great location. Our lanai (balcony) overlooked the ocean. ROOM Gorgeous. We looooved the style of the Bamboo Inn. It has a rustic feel, but is resolutely luxurious. Bed was comfy.... More

My wife and I booked a single night stay at this hotel while taking a trip around Maui. When we booked by phone, we were told about the wonderful room that included a continental breakfast. We were also told that we couldn't cancel without 24 hours notice. This is a casual place and we were told the key would be... More

We have stayed overnight in Hana many times and this was our best experience yet. Great views, nice shower, good breakfast and great location in walking distance to Bay, Hasegawas and Ranch. If you don't like bugs, rain and quiet, do not go to Hana.

This place was full of bugs! I understand it is a rainforest but I personally don't like sharing my bed with all kinds of bugs. We had cockroaches, spiders, earwigs, silverfish. The place smelled 'stale' and not at all clean. Bed linens looked and felt dirty. Outdoor shower we were told was 'private' but certainly would provide a show for... More

We stayed in the Iwa Suite at the Bamboo Inn. It was clean, cozy, well decorated with ocean views. The management was so nice and friendly. We enjoyed a romantic evening listening to the waves and got up early to watch the sunrise. We enjoyed delicious pastries and juice on the deck before driving back to the west side of... More
