A short walk to many amenities, not hard to find from the airport (25 min), beach 50 feet from your room, fall asleep to the gentle sound of waves hitting the shore, clean/updated rooms, lots of parking (although really tight!) and an absolute incredible view of a Maui sunset!! These rooms book fast, if you get one you will not... More

My husband and I just returned from 6 nights in # 202. It was our second visit here. It was perfect. As previously stated, location is excellent. The condo had everything we needed and the manager and staff are super. This place is a gem.

Stayed in unit 205 early November 2011. This is a two-bedroom unit with two lanais. The air flow was great with two sets of windows and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach all day and all night. This unit is right above the common area patio so be aware that when folks are sitting there chatting you... More

Stayed one week after reading all the great reviews - was not disappointed, views and central location cannot be beat. Stayed in unit 402, middle penthouse. The A/C is a plus during the hottest part of the day but the afternoon trade winds did a decent job with the cross ventilation. Beautifully appointed, comfortable King Bed. Two small beaches just... We stayed in #205, a 2 bedroom second floor southernmost corner unit. The unit has no A/C but even for August, it was no problem as Kihei gets RATHER windy from noon until 4pm or so and we had lanais or balconies on both the west and the north side of the unit. The unit was very nicely stocked, the... More

We stayed in unit 403 (one of three "penthouse units"). Let me restate some of the pro's about Punahoa Beach Apartments. Pro's: 1. Location - the rest of the island is very accessible to this location in South Kihei, but the best thing about this building is that it is right on the coast--25 yards. Sound of the surf is... More

We loved this place. We stayed in unit 304 which accommodates 2 people. It was essentially 1 room with a kitchenette, dressing area and bath. The main room had a murphy bed and was nicely decorated with wicker furniture and glass dining table. The lanai had 2 lounge chairs with ottomans and a table. The unit looked like it was... More

I chose this place for our week's holiday in Maui after reading Frommer's review (local guide book) and was impressed with everything about it. We stayed in # 201 which was a very nicely decorated unit overlooking the beach... but then, every apartment overlooks the beach! The view, the location, the price, the decor, the managers... everything was superb and... More

I’m not a stranger to Maui by any means as I have been there about a dozen times staying in various condos and hotels. Spent a week in #202 at the beginning of March. I almost hate to give it away but if you are looking for a simple condo and are into seeing Maui and spending time either exploring... More

We just returned from our stay at Punahoa. We were in #301 and really enjoyed our days here. The room was nicely decorated and had all the amenities we needed during our stay. It is located close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, (our favorite was the Kihei Cafe for breakfast and cinnamon rolls. Beaches nearby were great for... More
