The hotel is lovely and so was the room we stayed in, (mid priced room). The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Liked having a separate shower. My only complaint was having to pay $25 extra on top of the room price for parking. Their prices were high but as I said, it was a very nice place.... More

Bar Harbor, the gateway to Acadia, is quite spectacular and this hotel could not have a better location. Right in the harbor next to the downtown, close to many restaurants, very explorable neighborhoods on foot and super scenic. As of 05/12 they were doing some serious renovations, completely redoing rooms so there was a lot of construction going on but... More

My mother and I stayed at the Harborside Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. We have been to Bar Harbor multiple times but this was our first stay at this hotel. It was lovely. Perfect location right on the water. Our room was on the ground floor without a view. I had requested this type of room because for the small... More

I went there for a conference and it was one of the best ever. They fed a large group of us and the food was wonderful. The hotel rooms are large and the staff is very helpful. Ask for a room that has a water view, and not one that overlooks the parking lot.

This is my second trip to bar harbor over memorial weekend. This hotel is in downtown bar harbor so once you checked in unless you are heading to Arcadia national park, you don't have to move your car any further. Everything is within walking distance. They even give a 15% off coupon for whale watching tour. The rooms are nice... More

Hotel staff was very accommodating. Rooms were very well appointed. Brand new carpet, bathroom lovely. No frig in room. Some of the rooms overlook the parking lot. Be sure to ask about your view from the room. That also depends on your price category of course. It would have been nice for hotel to offer complimentary coffee, but that was... More

Resort is just excellent. Just arrived from May 18 to 20 week-end. Second time at the resort. Pool is warm, service is excellent, food is good, clean, close to everything, beautiful views. No complaints about this place.

I stayed here for a wedding in 2011 and it was a horrible value and experience. I would highly recomend staying anywhere but here. The website looks great, but the staff is bad and the facility is disapointing. Management made a number of mistakes and refused to correct them- the spa charged me for services I had ordered but did... More

We stayed in April, which was a slow tourist season for this part of Maine. The Harborside hotel was fantastic -- and we were happy with the rate of less than $150 per night. A great location in easy walking distance from downtown, but calm and quiet at the hotel itself. We loved the heated pool as well, so that... More

I loved staying at this hotel, but it was purely by accident. We traveled in late October, when everything was closing down for the winter. The hotel we originally rented decided to close early, so they transferred us here- and upgraded us to an oceanview room. If you are going to spend the money to stay here, try and get... More
