Had a great time pool nice...very clean and good service. needs a bit of upgrading but I would certainly recommend!!

We've stayed here twice, 1st in Sept. '10 (right after the President!), and again in June of 11. Had a great time both trips. The grounds are stunning and the views over the ocean are beautiful. We stopped here during our visit to Bar Harbor and were pleasantly surprised. It's old fashioned, but does the trick. I'd stay here again.

We stayed in the building across from the main hotel, like some of the other reviewers, it isn't anything special. I didn't do a review on this hotel when we visited Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park because I completely and totally forgot about where we stayed because there was nothing exceptional about this hotel. Had to remind them to clean our rooms a couple of times but other than that it was great----fabulous view! The restaurant is outstanding. Very close to Acadia National Park. Not a long drive to the local Lobster Pounds which are a must!!!

Over time, I've learned that a hotel's less than average ranking can be due to glowing fake reviews for its competitors; so I've learned to take a good look at a hotel's reviews and give less thought to its Tripadvisor ranking. While not a stellar property, Holiday Inn Bar Harbor Regency provides good accommodations for anyone visiting Acadia National Park.... More

This hotel has an awesome view of the ocean, and has a swimming pool right next to it. Make sure you ask for a room that faces the ocean rather than the one that faces the parking lot.
