Dropped in off the street, and was offered a choice of rooms, staff were very friendly and happy to help ( and very honest about the need for air con on a warm day, as not all rooms came with it standard). we've been in the rex hotel along with a baby. the staff were extrimely friendly and helped a lot. the breakfast buffet was the best we've ate in town - best value for money and very high quality

Stayed at Hotel Rex for 5 days and had great time. The hotel is in a great location just off Union Square, close to a Walgreens (24hrs) for those pesky little midnight needs and a Starbucks if one insists on drinking that nasty coffee.
