Stayed in the Rosenkavalier- very cold room, lumpy/bouncy bed (but the bedding was fair), large bathroom, but small toilet space (coffin like)...it was shabby 1890's meets 1970...strange. The "in-room library" had a few classics (Milton, Shakespeare, Stendhal), a pleasant surprise. My husband and I may stay again after the renovation. Maybe.

This is the kind of place you really want to love, but can't. Cool old building, but the rooms smell musty and moldy --and they are. You pay over $200 a night and get a television smaller than a portable radio and which was made in 1960 and looked like it fell off the back of a truck. And breakfast... More

We recently enjoyed a wonderful week's stay at Archbishop's Mansion. Had been recommended by a friend and it exceeded our expectations. We actually stayed in two rooms during the week - Madame Butterfly and Der Rosencavelier - both were beautiful!
