Me and a friend stayed here for 2 nights on a girly-Californian-getaway. The hotel offers everything you need on a quick visit to San Fran. Warm welcome, concierge, comfortable bed, good and more importantly safe location and the staff is always happy to guide you with tourist information and maps are available at reception. The hotel`s location is perfect if... More

This hotel is a little off the main touristy area, about 6 blocks away from the nearest cable car at California and Van Ness. But the bus system in San Fran is pretty good and we used that most of the time. My wife and I got the MUNI pass and used buses more than cable cars. I found the... More

We live about 70 miles S/ of SF. This was for a one night stay while we went to the Asian Art Musuem. First of all there is parking provided across the street for about $20 a night. This about half what some other places charge. The hotel is in a quieter area and we enjoyed having our windows opens... More

I Stayed here for two nights. Although a gorgeous lobby & reception areas with fireplaces, I found the rest of the hotel to be very cold and uninviting. There is no heating in the hallways, and I'm sure there would be no A/C either. The decor is elegant, very Queen Anne style as the name suggests. The breakfast was included in... More

My adult niece and I stayed at the Queen Anne for a few days. We found the staff (especially Joey) accommodating, attentive and friendly. We loved our room with the fireplace and the peace and quiet of breakfast downstairs. Is this a top line B&B? Maybe not to some people but they treated us like queens and we thought the... More

This hotel is rated three stars yet ought to be two to two and a half. The staff is attentive, and that is the main perk. Yes they offer a breakfast that is of a good value. However as others have noted here, the room we stayed in (303) was really sub-par and a flop from an interior design stand-point.... More

While I usually prefer the more modern hotels....I have to admit this hotel is gorgeous. From the lobby, to the elevator (with bench and chandelier), to the parlours with their fireplaces...this place oozes a bygone era. Our room was very nice (although not air-conditioned.....and the window did not have a screen or lock on it) ...kind of unsettling when you're... More

More than 100 years old, we felt like we were living early 1900s. The owner decorated the Hotel perfectly for the christmas. People who admire Santa puppets or such christmas stuff must visit this Hotel in SF. Room was clean enough, there was a interesting smell in the Hotel, but not disturbed very much. I guess old furniture, carpets etc.... More

I loved this hotel... Everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can relax by a fireplace with tea after a stressful day in the city. I'm a bit of a nostalgic so I loved what felt like authentic Victorian ambiance with all the practical amenities. Your stay includes a complete breakfast too.

We stayed for a night and had 412 (a nice large room). The staff was really helpful and friendly. We arrived early and left late. We the offered park the car ($20 in San Francisco is absolutely fair) and depose the luggage - so we did not even had to ask for it. Breakfast included was also good. The only... More
