The pros: Clean hotel; great location within walking distance of the Wharf area and Ghiradelli Square; friendly hotel staff; nice free breakfast buffet The cons: poor view from hotel room; a little confusing to find because of close proximity to another Holiday Inn; $45 a day parking fee Overall, a wonderful hotel. I would stay here again.

To echo others' reviews, this is the perfect property to be near many of San Francisco's tourist attractions. Rooms are well-appointed, although they should look into updating the TVs to flat screens and having wireless internet in the guest rooms (as opposed to the jack.) I appreciated the mini fridge for leftovers and to keep drinks cool. I arrived around... More

I've stayed at numerous Holiday Inn's since I'm a member of their travel club. But this particular hotel did not live up to other Holiday Inn's that I have stayed. The location is perfect being just a couple of blocks from the heart of Fisherman's Wharf, but at night, the short walk back to the hotel can be a bit... More

This hotel was very conveniently located, right in Fisherman's Wharf. Many tours meet around this area, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. It's great for tourists! The room was clean and quite (no view from my room though). Continental breakfast buffet was good (make your own pancakes with a press of the button!). Also included--free internet access.... More

This is a perfect hotel if you want to be close to the main tourist attractions. Located just around the corner from the waterfront, you can easily walk to all the wonderful restaurants down at Fisherman's Wharf. The ferry to Alcatraz is an easy 10 minute walk and the hop-on-hop-off bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk. You'll also... More

This hotel is in an ideal spot, within walking distance of the main attractions around fishermans wharfe. One of the hop on hop off bus tours stops about 50 yards from the front of the hotel. The cable car turn rounds are just a couple of blocks away withing easy reach of the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the... More

rooms: clean, silent, comfortable beds. location: close to Fisherman's Wharf (walking distance) staff: very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't book with breakfast again, it was the typical continental US-standard, but lot's of things were artificial and not made fresh (eg. scrambled eggs made from egg powder). All in all a good hotel if you're staying for a few days.

The fact that I have to pay $45 for overnight parking is outrageous. I know it's pretty customary for the area, but $45? Does it need to be that much, just because everyone else does it? The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it. The morning 'breakfast'you get would be nice if they had more than one machine... More

My husband and I brought our infant son to the US to attend my sister's wedding and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express while we were in San Francisco. The location was perfect because it was right where the action was along the bay, and there was a Walgreens conveniently nearby, as well as the train station that could... More
