Just visited San Francisco and stayed at Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is situated in a great location - 2 blocks up from the Wharf. We rented a car and found it fairly easy to get to China Town, Union Square and Lombard St. The hotel itself is nice, clean comfortable rooms. Don't expect a great veiw though. The breakfast... More

We stayed at 3 HIE hotels during our trip and this was has to rank the lowest. Maybe because its a big city hotel and the other two were country versions. There is nothing wrong with the hotel and if I had to I would stay here again because its fairly close to everything. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is... More

Our experience was not bad, but could have been better. Reception and staff were very good, especially the clerk at the reception desk where my multiple questions about the hotel and nearby restaurants were answered very well. The room and the hotel was very clean, and we had no maintenance issues. At the same time, there was little visual interest... More

--This was the perfect location. Very close to Ghiradelli Square, cable cars, the waterfront and the F Trolley. --Our room was absolutely spotless. Basic and met our needs. Great water pressure. No flat screen TV just a tube TV, oh well. --Customer service was great (although we asked for very little.) --Breakfast was just the basics and perfect. Good coffee... More

As with most of the hotels in San Francisco, there are no shuttles for getting around. The Hotel was clean and comfortable. The Concierge service was nicely done. The rooms were spacious. It is a large hotel so there are moments when a bus load of tourists will arrive but over all the lobby area is calm and quiet. Breakfast... More

I made reservations at this hotel for a work conference. The conference was at the Marriott which is less than 2 blocks away, but almost $100 more per night. It included free breakfast and free wi-fi in the lobby which none of the other hotels in the area included. It isn't anything fancy, but it was spotless! I couldn't find... More

My son and I recently went to San Francisco for vacation and chose to stay in the Holiday Inn Express Fisherman's Wharf. Our stay was wonderful from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The check in was quick and easy. Our flight arrived in San Francisco at 10 am and by 1045 we were in... More

not a bad hotel, just that the staff were abusive, unhelpful, sour, but then i found most people in San Francisco like that sadly, a beautiful city if you take the people out of it, sad

We stayed here for 5 nights during April 2012. Paying in advance resulted in a good discount on the room rate. The rooms were nicely furnished and spacious. The hotel seemed fairly new; everything was in good shape. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good, but unchanging, i.e., same menu every day. No pool, but you can use the... More
