Ive been to San Francisco more times than I can count, and this time we chose to stay at Annies Cottage and will definitely stay there again. Essentially a basement flat in a quiet leafy street not far from Lombard st in the Russian Hill area, Annies is a quiet, restful and tranquil spot. Dont be put off by the... More

What a peaceful and convenient place. My husband and I stayed here for four nights, and were very comfortable throughout. You'll approach your "suite" through a charming little garden -- so welcoming after a high-energy day in the city. Annie has thoughtfully outfitted the place with premium bath products; a microwave and coffee maker; a refrigerator (for all the yummy... More

What to say? The place itself is charming beyond belief. You enter through an apartment building that breaks out into a wonderful little cottage hidden away in the middle of the block. The accomodations were superb. Cozy and comfortable, but big enough to lounge and hang out without feeling cramped. A very good mattress, and quiet. Nice and quiet. The... More

This B&B was perfect for me and my friends. Annie was a friendly and informative host and provided a clean room with personal extras (cereal, coffee, books etc). We were tempted to use the balcony but it was too cold when we were there. It's hidden away in a quiet suburban area but you only have to walk 5-10 minutes... More

We recently stayed at Annie's Cottage for four days. The accommodation, the location, parking were wonderful. From Annie's Cottage you can walk just about anywhere (we love hill walking) or ride a cable car. There are many wonderful restaurants in this beautiful Russian Hill neighborhood along with interesting shops & small markets. Many thanks to Annie for making our stay... More

We stayed with Annie for 3 days at the end of February 2011. We found the location excellent - close to the centre, shops, some good restaurants, cable car, a safe location and a friendly hostess. The room is large and excellently furnished with Bose unit, new television, wifi internet etc etc and WE found the bed very comfortable. However be... More

A funny place, this. I was really looking forward before we arrived to having a convenient and attractive bolthole in the city, but I also knew it would be petite and wasn't dead centre in the city, so I think I had realistic expectations. I still expected so much more then we got on the basis of the reviews on... More

I have been renting out this room for over 15 years and was astonished to read your review. In all the years, and thousands of guests, this is the first negative review I have ever had. People usually make it a point to come to the door and tell me how much they enjoyed their stay and that they will... More

A great find in Russian Hill area. Close to trolley line and many nearby restaurants. When I first heard about the place, I was a bit reluctant to stay there. It turned out to be a great choice. The friend I was meeting in SF found it on the 'net. The room has a bed/couch which was very comfortable to... More

Annie has just the one room at the back of her house on Vallejo Street. It's a good-size room with seating, a table/chairs and space for making drinks. There's access to a small leafy balcony overlooking the neighbour's gardens too. The room is very comfortable and very quiet. The area is great - short walk up to Russian Hill or... More

My wife and stay here in November, 2009 and were very satisfied. Wish we could stay here everytime we come to San Francisco, but alas, there's only one room, and it always seems to be booked on those weekends we want to visit the city. What's not to like about this place. After getting the keys from Annie, the place... More
