Distinctive Bed and Breakfast accommodations with ocean views, within blocks of the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate Park and the Cliff House in San Francisco, California - Ocean Beach Bed & Breakfast, San Francisco.
Joanne Landon, who is the owner of Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast, is considerate, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My wife and I stayed with her the last week in October, 2018, while visiting my daughter in San Francisco. We were so fortunate to find this homey bed and breakfast: just like being home. And it is in an ideal location in the Vista del Mar/Outer Richmond area, easy walking distance to the beach and Golden Gate Park. As near as it is to the city, it is a remarkably quiet and peaceful area: no traffic noise whatsoever, which was a real pleasure. And the views from our bedroom and sitting room windows overlooking the ocean were spectacular. Breakfasts were excellent, we had full access to a fully stocked kitchen, and there were always treats awaiting us every morning. We look forward to staying there again. Absolutely perfect.…

Ocean Beach bed and Breakfast exceeded our expectations. We are a young couple, and had never stayed at a B&B, so we were a bit skeptical. However, Joanne was a terrific host who went above and beyond. Every morning we had a terrific breakfast spread and she would come up to say good morning and check in with us, offering recommendations around the city when needed. Super clean and private, bed was so comfy. We will stay again if we are ever in the city.

Perfect stay!!! We stayed 7 nights in the suite and had a beautiful view, private bath, beautiful bed and bedroom, and a living room/parlor with couch/bed. Very quiet. Breakfast was just phenomenal! We expected some cereal and croissants, and instead got warm pastries, bowls of fresh-cut fruit, yogurt, coffee (already made when we got up), OJ, eggs, etc!! Joanie was the ultimate hostess, going out of her way to make us feel comfortable and happy. Even some chocolate treats for a bedtime snack! Fresh flowers throughout the whole floor. She was full of great info and stories and really made us feel like part of the family. Definitely will make this our regular in SF!!!

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast for 7 days in June, 2016. We enjoyed the Ocean View Suite (fabulous wide view of the Pacific and 2 Golden Gate Park windmills from both rooms). We agree with all the positives written to date including: clean and quiet accommodations, comfortable bed, and safe locale. We looked forward to the hot coffee, varied warm pastry, and fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal available daily for breakfast. Joanne is very personable and offers great advice on all the San Francisco sights. Frequent bus service to downtown is available nearby.

My sister and I stayed here for 5 nights last month. The set-up and location were perfect for our purposes. The sitting room is a great neutral but private space. In there over a glass of wine before heading off to our rooms, we were able to chat about the day we'd had and what we'd be doing the next day. Breakfast was different every day and Joanne always came for a friendly chat. The place is very, very comfortable and the location was ideal for us because it's near the ocean and plenty of transport. No need to investigate accommodation options for the next trip to SF. I would simply stay here every time.

Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast is owned and managed by Joanne Landon. Joanne is a superb hostess. The breakfast each morning was wide-ranging, plentiful and delighted our tastebuds. My husband fell in love with the egg cooker! Everything about our stay was excellent. Luxurious, clean bedding, fresh flowers, attention to detail at every level. Beautiful Victorian pieces, yet comfortable and cosy. We we had hired a Mustang Convertible in L.A. and decided to tour up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. We did not need our car once in S.F. as the bus and tram network is so well connected. We could walk to the beach and gardens from the house. What a great place! Would love to return (once we've saved a few more pennies from Little Old England!) Thanks Joanne - and hope the hydrangea is growing well!…

My spouse and I spent six nights here earlier this month (Sept. 2015) and we were totally delighted with our experience. Ocean Beach Bed & Breakfast is owned and managed by Joanne Landon. We occupied a two-room suite with a private bath. The place is spotlessly clean, the beds were wonderful, and we had a panoramic view of Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park and some glorious sunsets. The breakfasts provided by Joanne were splendid-- every morning we had various fresh baked pastries, fresh fruit, a selection of juices and hot or cold cereals, plus coffee and tea. There were also an egg cooker and toaster available with eggs and bread, if so desired. Joanne is a lively, intelligent, interesting conversationalist-- great fun to chat with. (She shares her hostess duties with her lovely cat, Blu.) The B & B is located in the Richmond neighborhood, perched on a hill just a few short blocks from the beach and the park. There are several fabulous restaurants in the area. The Legion of Honor Museum and the famous Cliff House are also nearby. City bus lines are conveniently located a block away in both directions, for those who arrive without cars. A large Safeway supermarket and a Walgreen pharmacy are also within walking distance. Joanne has a ton of books and brochures on San Francisco attractions, as well as menus from her favorite restaurants. (She steered us to three truly excellent ones. Thanks, Joanne!)…

I stayed at Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast during a three week trip to the Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver. I went to law school and lived in the Bay Area and worked in San Francisco in the late 1980s (I'm a native of Los Angeles) and wish I had never left. I truly left my heart in San Francisco - the most beautiful city in the United States. I stayed in the Ocean View Suite, which as a lovely sitting room with beautiful windows overlooking the ocean. At night, you can hear the fog horns. I am a trail runner, so I'm always looking for trails. Within a few blocks of the bed and breakfast is the spectacular Lands End Trail, which overlooks the old Sutro Baths and the ocean. Also worth checking out is the stupendous Palace of Legion of Honor, an amazing museum set on a hill in an incredible setting. Joanna is a kind, helpful woman. We were talking about the San Francisco staircases, so she told me about the book Stairway Walks in San Francisco and said I could get it at the Presidio book store (the Presidio is another beautiful place to walk and run). I bought the book, redid some of my old stairway walks and undertook some new ones. But now I want to do a lot more. Its time for another trip to my beloved San Francisco and another stay at the wonderful Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast.…

My daughter and I visited Ocean Beach Bed and Breakfast in September of 2014. Joanne was an excellent hostess and her cookies are scrumptious. Our room was lovely and the living room and kitchen quite comfy. It was a reasonable walk to the beach which we enjoyed each day of our stay. Joanne was willing to sit and discuss the history of her beloved San Francisco and give us lots of pointers as we toured the city. She made us feel welcome from the time we walked in and her adorable cat is just priceless. Our breakfasts were delicious and the snacks were always available. The bus route is just at the corner and we can take the bus right downtown. It was quiet and very relaxing. I would definitely visit Joanne's B&B for her company and cookies alone. Wonderful, wonderful time we had. Would recommend either room or the suite to anyone traveling to San Francisco.…

We had a lovely two room suite with private bath, the bed was super comfortable with quality bedding. There was a bay window sitting area where you could sit and watch the ocean waves and people on the beach. One down side was attempting to find a parking spot, sometimes a block or so away. There was a continual breakfast from 7-10AM. Both rooms had there own coffee pots. Joanne did all she could to please her visitors.
