I stayed in the upstairs front room of this Decco historical landmark and loved it. I like "unusual" and the motel had that in droves. The corner room had lots of windows and the sun poured in in the late afternoon - and the room is furnished like a bedroom so it feels cheerful and cozy. The owner warned me... More

If you don't love "vintage" you may not appreciate the Ocean Park Motel. I wasn't sure what I was getting, but we enjoyed ourselves here. The rooms here are much smaller than you may be used to, but this place has everything you need. The property is beautiful and the staff so helpful. We loved the location. The zoo and... More

We read ALL the reviews on tripadvisor and felt we needed to give this little motel a try! We love hotels/motels with character and wanted something on the outskirts of town. It does take longer to get to most of the tourist attractions but it was worth it. Don't come looking for flat screen TV's or fancy foo foo bedding... More

The only negatives I have are: the remodel work looks a bit shoddy. As a person who has a contractor husband, it's hard to not notice the caulking around the shower, the obvious paint over paint over paint on the door of the bathroom, and little things like that. The window in the kitchen was also cracked which allowed cold... More

I grew up in San Francisco very close to this motel although it's been awhile and I don't remember this place at all. This motel was built during the depression in the 30s so the rooms are small, the tilework in the bathrooms looks original. The positives - it's clean, the landscaping is very nice, the price is good, the... More

I first booked this property because they take dogs and the price was great. We will go back for the ambience, the history, the terrific owners, and the hot tub. This gem is a treasure. We go to SF for the Park and this is very easy access to it. It is a step back in time with the comforts... More

We stayed here for the first time in January 2012. I found the place by accident because I was looking for hotels in San Francisco on an online site and someone happened to mention this place in their review of another. What a find! This place is 'old school' a family owned place that only accepts reservations over the phone.... More

We had a great weekend at the Ocean Park Motel in San Francisco. The location for this place can't be beat. Let me repeat: CAN'T BE BEAT. This hotel is one short block from the San Francisco Zoo, and the beach. The muni picks up right on the corner. Perfect location. The management at this motel actually cares about you.... More

We stayed at the Ocean Park Motel in early November 2011. We are a family with younger kids vacationing in SF for a week. The Ocean Park Motel was a great option for us. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: --Clean, safe, and ample parking. --Our room had a fully functioning kitchen (not sure if they all do), but... More

We stayed for two nights in a suite with three double beds and a tiny bathroom, with a fridge and microwave. We wanted to stay longer but the motel was full! I think the cost was $165 per night including tax. The architecture is really cute, decorated in purples and blues outside, and the staff very friendly - even before... More
