Great location I cannot emphasize this enough! The hotel looks like a classic, old style hotel with fun interior and furniture. Pet friendly and serving complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby in the afternoon and coffee and tea in the morning.

Optimal location. This is Union Square neighbourhood, don't worry about Tenderloin coments. Famous and huge hotel towers are all around (e.g. right across the same corner) if you need a perspective.
