We love this hotel and we've stayed there often - great location and great rooms. We park at the hotel and walk to the sites or take the cable cars.

Stayed in May 2012. At no time were we told (until we drove there) that there would be $43/day parking fee. Generally rooms/hallways/lifts etc are old and outdated. The hotel is older. The location is great. The room was clean. The outside rooms in this hotel are very noisy. You will hear the streetcar, trucks, motorcycles, and other street noise.

This hotel was recently renovated so everything in the room was fresh, new and clean (we had a bay room view w/balcony). Excellent location ~ across the street from to Pier 39 and within walking distance to the pier for Alcatraz cruises and the Trolleys. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Newly renovated so fresh and clean. Good size rooms and bathrooms. Staff very helpful, particulary concierge service. They recommended different restaurants for breakfast and dinner and most were excellent. Too cold to utilize their outdoor patio or pool but both looked lovely. Excellent location !
