This hotel needs to pay more attention to customers' needs. It started badly when the concierge desk did not return my voice mail asking for sightseeing recommendations to book before my arrival. I therefore had to go with information gleaned from the internet instead of from a local expert. The room was a junior suite due to elite status but... More

Located in the center of things - great shops nearby, good restaurants too. Hotel has been renovated recently & is great. Was there on business & would pick it again - food was very good & the service was terrific.

This is a nice JW Marriott, but the views aren't great. This hotel is on a busy street in the Union Square area and close to a few other hotels. Unfortunately, even if you get a high floor, you don't see much except for the other buildings. Due to the location of the hotel, you will not see the bay... More

Stayed at the JW for business and extended the stay to pleasure for the weekend. Great location, right off of Union Square. San Fran is a great walking city and this hotel is right in the heart of things. Just a block from Union Square, the cable car stop, tons of shopping. Loved it! The room was very nicely appointed,... I stayed two nights in a corner king on an executive club floor. Nicely furnished room, a little older, but in good condition. Bathroom was a pretty narrow configuration; I think it was just the layout of my room. It had a separate shower, although it was a bit small. Executive club lounge breakfast was very good and it had... More

I have stayed at many high end hotels in San Francisco - mostly on Knob Hill. The JW on Union Square is now one of my favorite. The location is perfect - easy to get to everything in need in SF. Concierge was very helpful - but long line and wait to see her/him. I left my Burberry Raincoat in... More

We were there for a meeting. Our room was very comfortable. Our only issue was being awakened early every morning by a bull horn by union workers complaining about non-union workers on Union Square. (A block away.) I do have to say the breakfast we had in their restaurant was exceptional. My husband had a benedict and said the eggs... More

Another amazing Marriott JW! Beautiful rooms and lobby. Very helpful in getting you around the city. Way nicer that the one in FIsherman's Wharf. Bought a 48 hr bus tour ticket for $35.00 and could get off and on everywhere in the city. Wonderful time! Great shopping just outside the hotel.

We spent the night in San Francisco after a baseball game and decided to try to JW Marriott (we are frequent Marriott patrons). The location of the hotel was great (just one block off of Union Square) and the staff were very friendly and accommodating all around. Due to our Marriott status we got an upgrade from the standard room... More

We have stayed in several JW Marriott properties, as well as many other Marriott brands. This one did not meet the standards of other JW properties, especially with regards to service. There were three valets when we pulled up; one was helping another guest and the other two proceeded to chat with each other so long that we had gotten... More

Thank you for your feedback and we will now be adding late night snack options available in our gift shop. I am sorry that you did not experience our usually impressive welcome from our staff; we will address this immediately with the team. I hope we have the opportunity to have you visit the JW again in the future. More
