Stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago for 3 nights. The smell that others have mentioned wasn't very pleasant but to be honest I think it might be the cleaning products that they use. We got used to it after the first day. Room was quite small but was clean and did the job. We were hardly in... More

it is 2 blocks away from Union Square. The price is cheap compare to the great location, and the clean room.

Although hotel is in great location, the room needs to be cleaner. There were dust and hair along all the window sills and dust are all around the air vent and electric plugs. There were a lot of clutter in the room. It is already a very small room, there is no need for all the baskets of condiments, coffee... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days in May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful providing directions when we asked. The room we had was large enough for us . There is a good pizza joint up the street within walking distance called Vittos . We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for one night in SF and this hotel was just perfect. Only approximately 100$ per night and only blocks away from Union Square. I don't think we can find better deal. If you are looking for a hotel with great location in SF and not too expensive, I think this hotel has it all. The parking is... More

The second we got in the elevator we noticed a strong litter box smell. It did not get better when we got to our room. Old, stagnant air I guess. Wallpaper was stained and the smell was horrible. The hotel staff was great, the bed seemed small, and nothing (not even free wine) could make up for the smell.

This cute hotel is in a perfect location blocks from union square and china town. The rooms were clean and nice. The best part though was the service. Seriously superior to any hotel I've ever stayed in.

OK not our best choice of hotel.. the location is what sold us on it.. the location is awesome! but the hotel itself is old and needs a new cleaning and maintenance crew.. OH and if you do valet parking.. make sure you do not need your car before 7 AM!!!! they do not operate until that time.

Nice location near Union Square in San Francisco. Rooms are clean. Friendly staff. Free evening wine from 5 to 6, but no breakfast. Coffee available and water in the lobby at times. Vintage old hotel, front rooms face the street and you can hear the cable car bells as the cars run up and down Powell Street nearby, but also... More
