Booked this hotel because of the eco style, good price and because it looked nice on pictures. Having travelled alot all over the world, we're used to staying in neighbourhoods that are "on the darker side of the city", but this was the worst ever! Crack users in every corner, loads of homeless drug addicts and gangs. Took a cab,... More

Just spent three nights in this "no frills" property in Soma. If one needs to do anything other than sleep, this is not the place to stay. The rooms in the main building are monastic, but the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Regular room service. Poor ventilation, would not want to be there in a heat wave.... More

We stayed from May 16th -18th and it was a pleasurable experience. I booked online thru Hotels.com and got there and had no problems with checking in. We chose this hotel for the parking facilities. They are a bit pricy at 27.50 (tax incl) per day, but its wayyyyy cheaper than getting your car towed (which is about $600 in... More

hotel was ok when i arrived. all seemed ok until i got to my hotel room what was smelling terribly moldy as i would say. air condition is noisy, making clicking sounds.. bed lamps doesn't work... this hotel isn't what you except from the pictures! I recommend to take some other hotel, I'm really unhappy with this one.

The good hotel is cute and clean and Eco-friendly. We stayed on Cinco de Mayo and were surprised at how quiet it was. The neighborhood was kind of dirty and sketchy in spots but not terrible. It was in walking distance to AT&T park, Mission, and Market streets. The service was a pretty good but some of the front desk... More

Yes, it is in a dodgy area. When my friends and I were walking to it after getting off BART, we were asked multiple times by people if we knew where we were going, mostly because of the luggage we were toting behind us in that part of town. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. The room was a lot... More

We ended up here for four nights after finding a good price for it through an external site (much cheaper than through the hotel's site) and identifying it as being pretty central and near public transport. The location is very good in that respect, but it's a couple of streets up from what is apparently one of the dodgiest in... More

First of all, it's San Francisco. It's a budget hotel. I hope this puts things into perspective. This being said, we have a great time at Good Hotel! We got the family suite, which is essentially a two bedroom without the doors.. There are some negatives. We ended up a friend in the area stay with us in the room... More

After spending 2 nites at The Good Hotel we were happy with the accommodations and staff. We were somewhat perplexed by the negative reviews we had earlier read. We found the room to be clean, comfortable, to have plenty of towels, good shower, and all this with a small library at a moderate price that would be hard to beat... More

Hours spent just checking in!!! This has to be the most incompetent staff ever! Madeline was sickeningly sweet to our faces but made snide comments about us to other staff members. Jorge didn't even attempt to hide his rudeness. He was very unpleasant all around. And we weren't the only ones that experienced this; hour 2 into our wait he... More
