This was a business trip. The rate was a business rate. I don't know what the regular rate is. A beautiful, historic hotel located in downtown Greeneville. The hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast. The only drawback is that parking is limited.

Spent one night here en route to Nashville. Loved the huge room and the luxury feel of the place. Decided to eat in the restaurant and went to the bar for some pre drinks and ended up staying put. The barman was very entertaining and we enjoyed a very good evening eating and drinking. The food was exceptionally good and... More

Overall, an excellent 2 night stay in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Our 4th floor room had a great view of the First Presbyterian Church across Main Street. Beautiful lobby, very gracious staff. The President Andrew Johnson historical venues are in easy walking distance. Also, a morning walking tour of downtown & an afternoon tour of the mansion behind the inn... More

This is a beautifully restored historic hotel right in the centre of Downtown Greenville. There is a slight downside to this, although the hotel itself is great - log fire in the majestic reception area, superb staff, spotless rooms full of character and a few quirky bits such as an odd layout of floors. We stayed at a weekend and... More

My husband and I stayed here for the first time this Valentine's Day(2013), loved it! Why did we not stay sooner? We always seem to look for the motel chains. It's historical and been renovated well over the years. Bed was very comfortable, rooms and hotel clean. We booked our son and his wife a room there over the Christmas... More

My wife and I had a week-end trip planned out of state for our anniversary. Circumstances changed and we couldn't take the whole week-end, so we decided to travel only 35 miles from home, and celebrate the occasion at the General Morgan Inn. The hotel is right on Main Street. When you walk into the front lobby, you have stepped... More

Stayed here while in Greeneville for work November 2012. The staff is friendly, the room was clean. It was a beautiful old building and I was thrilled to see something this old was being so well taken care of. My bed was super comfortable, but was a little too close to the door for my liking, but this was otherwise... More

What a wonderful hotel. There is a beautiful lobby. The rooms are nicely appointed. Brumleys restaurant in the lobby is great place for an upscale dinner. There is also a casual lounge with a terrific bar. The town has many historical sites including Andrew Johnson homestead. All in all well worth the trip.

I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this historic hotel in Greeneville, TN. Charming with so much history. I am thankful so much in the area has been preserved. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. Modern amenities while maintaining the integrity of its origin. The Brumley restaurant was delicious. Especially the weekend brunch!!! I will definitely return... More
