We found Thimbleberry via Tripadvisor, took a chance and headed to Bayfield for Memorial Day weekend. The pictures don't do it justice and there aren't words to describe Craig and Sharon; they are wonderful, kind and warm. Nestled away in the woods on a cliff over-looking Lake Superior you can see the Apostle Islands from your room through the trees.... More

This was the first time my wife and I stayed at a B&B and it was a great experience! The best part of the trip was meeting the inn keepers Craig and Sharon. It felt like we were staying with family. Sharon is a gourmet cook and not only does she cook a hot breakfast every morning, but she also... More

Though we've known of Thimbleberry Inn for a long time, this was our first visit, and our first stay at a B&B. We couldn't have been more delighted. The rooms were immaculate and the food and the company beyond compare! The weather treated us with 3.5 inches of snow, but inside it very comfortable and cozy. We're already recommended it... More

First of all I have to say that my wife is the B&B lover. I'm not really the doily & social loving kind of guy that dies for the B&B scene. I do, however, love good food, a serene space, and the beauty of creation. Thimbleberry Inn is located in a beautiful spot. From my chair in the sitting area... More

Through floor to ceiling windows Lake Superior sparkles gloriously through a framework of towering trees, but that's just one part of the beautiful, peaceful immersion Thimbleberry provides. As private land within the Red Cliff Reservation, the inn does great justice to the American Indian reverence for the land and nature. The house/inn is incredible, and built by co-host Craig. His... We recently spent our third visit to Thimbleberry Inn in early September. It was the first year that we did not come during the summer months and found it to be a wonderful time to enjoy the beauty of the Apostle Islands. I can't say enough about the special care and hospitality we so enjoy from hosts, Sharon and Craig.... More

Thimbleberry Inn is a great B&B! We selected it mainly due to its location on Lake Superior -the water was steps away (down a bluff that is). From my pillow, I could see Hermit Island and the sunrise. Sharon and Craig are consumate hosts. Friendly and helpful from the initial phone call through to arrival and getting us settled in.... Sharon and Craig are the most gracious and generous hosts imaginable. If you want to sight see, eat at restaurants, hike, bike, kayak, or sail...Sharon will give you all the needed info. We have been there before, and just love to relax. This time, we decided to check out the various apple, berry, and vegetable farms in Bayfield... and had... More

It has been a privilege to stay in such a beautiful and tranquil place. The brilliantly designed house is on a bluff with wonderful views through trees of the lake and the Apostle islands. The rooms are spacious, of a very high standard and very comfortable. There are steps down to Thimbleberry's own dock where two old wooden benches provide... More

We spent 3 nights at the Thimbleberry Inn and enjoyed every minute of it. The Madeline room was wonderful, the king size bed very comfortable but the best feature are the owners Sharon and Craig. They made us feel at home or far better than at home! We have been home one day are miss being pampered by Sharon's great... More
