I love Harpers Ferry and the Town's Inn is in the center of everything. Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great location and affordability!

n museums, we are told not to touch, take pictures, sit down, eat or drink. At The Town's Inn, you may do all of these things and more. It is the only lodging in this venerable historic; you are virtually checking into a museum. Your hostess Karan cultivated the perfect rest stop. Right on the Appalachian Trail. Walk the bridge... Recently went on a business retreat with approximately 16 coworkers and we were all able to fit into the Town's Inn for a very cheap price. Pros: -Perfect location with a great view of the river -Friendly hotel staff that will help you at all hours of the night. -Great price per bed -Nice restaurant attached Cons: -Loud trains run... Stayed in the Inn during May of 2012 while biking from Pittsburgh to DC. The Inn is in a very old building but makes great use of the space. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant next door was very good. The restrooms and shower rooms were very clean and robes are provided in each room. Enjoyed the... More

I stayed at The Town's Inn with a girl friend in October 2011. The only good thing about this place is the location, which I must admit is very convenient. However, management is terrible. The "lobby" area is cluttered with junk everywhere you turn. Parking is a nightmare. There is religious material (some of it expressing anti-gay sentiment) in plain... More

Please look at the website & consider the following facts, which contain verifiable information that contradicts the negative allegations in the “God awful” review. The room in which the guest stayed is the River View East Room, which is the only room of the 7 rooms that has a closet & a window that can be opened. The cost of... More

My Girl Scout Troop just spent the night at the Town's Inn. We also reserved Dr. Karan's two parking spots. The Town's Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Harper's Ferry. The girls loved the friendship room where they could all sleep in bunkbeds that were lined up next to each other. The girls loved the privacy curtains in... More

We actually prefer to travel off the beaten path, so only rarely feel negatively toward a lodge, inn or hotel. But unfortunately, the Towns Inn is one of them. Having bicycled for 2 days down the C&O canal towpaths, we were so ready for a hot bath, comfy bed, and room to spread out! But when we reached the inn,... More

Anyone interested in history, in spectacular hiking trails, or simply in beautiful, unconventional lodgings, would love The Town’s Inn at Harper’s Ferry, WV. We stayed in the Shenandoah Room in the 1840 stone house during one of the coldest, windiest nights in recent history. The narrow hallways and antique furnishings give you an ambience that a Civil War re-enactor would... More

The Inn is very quaint - we found it a very nice place to stay. The food at the Inn is wonderful!! If you visit Harper's Ferry this is definitely the place to go for a nice meal even if you are not staying at the Inn.
