If you can stay here, do it! Great access to the best hiking in the park! The rooms were clean, there's a view from every room: we stayed in the regular hotel part but hear the cabins, especially 103, is great. We hiked and hiked right from out room. The restaurant was just ok. Probably could use a little more... More

Chisos Mountain Lodge appears to be the only hotel available in Big Bend National Park. Anyhow, they are doing a great job at welcoming you. Staff is efficient and rooms very comfortable. Located inside the Chisos Mountains, the place is quite magical with gorgeous sunsets. And to get the most of Big Bend National Park, there is no phone and... More

Big Bend is a vast desert region with a few surprises. The first surprise I experienced, many years ago, was a horse ride from the Chisos Mountain Basin to the South Rim. The one day ride allowed a fantastic vista of about 100 miles, across the Rio Grand river into Mexico. The valley is ~1500 feet below. What a view.... More

I'd be hard pressed to compare the Chisos Mountain Lodge to an ordinary hotel because, quite frankly, it isn't one. It is surrounded by untouched, natural beauty that simply mesmerizes. Having said all of that, the lodge provides you with all that you need for an amazing stay within Big Bend. The rooms are clean, comfortable and in such a... More

Chisos Basin Lodge, Big Bend National Park OK, what you need to know about this Lodge, in fact, this National Park is that it is REMOTE, as in no cell service, no internet, no TV or phone in the rooms. If you have a career that demands you be constantly in touch with your home office, visit this Park when... More

Me and my husband stayed here for four nights in early April. It was a wonderful stay. I reserved a Casa Grande room a year in advance. I requested Building A upstairs on advice from Tripadvisor reviews. We arrived on a Sunday evening and was able to get exactly the room choice I wanted. The walk out balconey was so... More

If you want to explore Big Bend, this is the place to stay. The park is huge, and the Chisos Lodge is right in the middle of it. The accommodations are motel style, for the most part, with a few extras like a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in each room. I stayed in the Rio Grande motel unit which... More

The lodge is located in the Chisos Basin of BIg Bend National Park. It is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery with spectacular sunsets every night from a nearby vista, a dark night sky for viewing, and direct access to a number of great hiking trails. The rooms are basic but clean, well kept, and convenient. Ours had a microwave and... More

We made our third trip to Big Bend National Park recently to see the desert in bloom. This was our second stay at the Chisos Mountain Lodge, and it hasn't changed much in five years. Accomodations are more than adequate, the rooms are clean and well equipped (mini-fridge, microwave & coffee pot), but don't expect to find a TV or... More

We spent two nigths at the CML and had one room with a king sized bed and a balcony with a magnificent view. The room was big enough and clean but the bathroom looked a bit run down. The only real point of criticism is that the refridgerator made very loud noises every now and then so that I was... More
