We booked a room at the Pines for a long weekend getaway and were pleased with our choice. The cabins are basic and just what we needed for a relaxing trip. We cooked every meal at the cabin and the kitchenette was more than sufficient for our needs. We had a bit of a hiccup with the air conditioning when... More

The cottage was Unclean, Dusty, Dirty, possibly bed bug infected. We had booked a cottage for 3 nights for 300$-(100$/day). When we got in we found the place was dusty and dirty- not sure when it was last cleaned!! We really tried hard to stay here since we had shelled out 300$ +30 $ in taxes. But we could sleep... More

We stayed at The Pines Cottages May 19, 2012. I had reserved Cabin #8 a week or two in advance. When my husband arrived to check in, the desk clerk told him that the refrigerator didn't work in Cabin #8, so she'd put us in #9. Then she noticed #9 wasn't cleaned yet, so she put us in #2. Because... More

My family has stayed at The Pines 3 times in 3 different cottages. It's a great little charming place, mostly untouched from it's original 1930s look. My daughter and I were just there on April on Spring break doing college tours. The Pines was the perfect retreat from sightseeing and touring around the area. We were in cottage 4 and... More

the pines cottages are all that you would love them to be at any season of the year, charming , rustic, vintage fabulous, and tara and allan are superb peeps. I was there in the summertime, it was surprisingly cool compared to hot lanta , the fan white sound just let me drift away......and of course the smell of pine!... More

Just spent 3 glorious nights at the Pines in cottage #7 and we had a glorious groovy time there. The cottage was everything we wanted it to be, a slice of heaven in the mountains. The owners, Allan and Tara were fabulous and great to answer all the questions one could ask. The Pines is convenient to everything in the... More

My Girlfriend and I both loved the Cottage we rented at the Pines. The location was pretty good, the Cottage was very nice, and the camp was quiet. There was not allot to do in the immediate vicinity, but there was a grocery store less than a mile away. The cottage was clean and very comfortable for us. The only... More

We didn't need a kitchen, so we chose cabin #3. It's vintage 50s and a little too cozy. The bed, TV, bathroom are all very small. There's very little extra space. The room was tidy. I only met the owner briefly at check in and never saw her again, but that's not a complaint. We arrived in the dark and... More

This is one of the most fun places we have ever stayed. They are individual little cabins with kitchens and fire places. It snowed while we were there, which was beautiful. This is in a great location and seems both secluded and easily accessible. We actually traveled here several years ago, but talk about it to this day. Also, check... More
