My husband and I stayed at the Liberty Hotel May 31-June 2nd, 2 nights to attend a wedding that was being held there. One of the nights was at a wedding rate and not too bad, but the other night was extremely pricy. The mother of the groom told us that they were not happy with the hotel for not... More

I'm sure many have raved about the hotel's history and unique architectural features, but I'd like to draw your attention on the service. Check-in was great, especially the offer of a glass of champagne was a nice touch. Best was one night while hungry and tired from jetlag and craving for some comfort food, the front desk promptly provided recommendation... More

I stayed at the liberty for a week with spouse and two young children. The design and ambiance of the hotel I loved, same for the restaurants. Located in what used to be a prison, the renovation is admirable. However there is one point that really put me off: the cleanliness. It was unacceptable and certainly for a 5-star hotel.... More

Attended a wedding at this hotel and stayed for three nights. Very pleasant during the day but too noisy at night. Late afternoon and night the lobby is one big bar and very, very noisy. Appears to be a meeting place for Boston's yuppy crowd. Rooms are very small, food is average, prices for everything are steep. The after reception... More

Stayed here recently for my girlfriend's business school reunion - they had a block of rooms there. THE GOOD: Neat atmosphere, lots of bar area THE BAD: Can't get any sleep - not only is music blasting until 2am, they set up a bar ***right outside our room!!!*** Good luck getting a good night's rest with that going on! I... More

Absolutely horrible!!!!! Do NOT have your event here. The manager does not care and security personnel consist of probably the absolute most rude people ever. Wedding that cost $40000 here and they have a disgusting old Boston PD officer trying to tell people what to do and being very rude along with the tall black man who they considered a... More

Thank you for writing about your recent experience at The Liberty Hotel. I am sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations during your visit to the hotel as an attendee of the beautiful wedding that took place at The Liberty. It’s unfortunate to hear that your experience in the lobby bar after the wedding left a negative... More

Stayed here one night for a business meeting. Got off to a bad start, which had me worried. Was checked in by a very pleasant, young man & went up to my room - key cards didn't work. Went back down, got two more key cards from another pleasant young man. Went back up. Key cards didn't work. Went back... More

I recently stayed at The Liberty Hotel for a second time. Brian, the Director of Rooms, was very responsive when I requested an early check in and I was surprised and pleased when a complimentary bottle of water and BOX OF CHOCOLATES arrived at my room a bit after I arrived. The Liberty takes excellent care of their return customers.... More

Hip hotel in a renovated jail. Great location and really cool renovation. Bars are still present on some of the windows. A solitary sign is used for do not disturb. Two bars, one called Alibi, with raw oysters at happy hour which is extremely popular with the locals. The Clink restaurant was more than adequate for breakfast. Scarpos for dinner... More

Booked the Liberty and used some of my SNAs - didn’t go through, which was a small annoyance... flew into BOS and took the bus to South Station, then three stops later we're in front of the hotel. Score! Easy to get to and near everything. Check in was quick, got our Plat breakfast card (continental in Clink), champagne, and... More
