My husband & I spent a week at this memorable inn. The warmth and attentiveness of the waitstaff makes you feel as if you're part of the family, Gourmet breakfast was wonderful. The inn itself was beautiful and great klocation to Baboa Park access.

...elegant and welcomming at the same time. It is a step into the past, lovingly restored, with every detail in total harmony. The house with it's attentive and gracious staff made out stay a special interlude. We thank everyone for creating an atmosphere that enhanced the celebration of our anniversary. Thank you.

My husband and I visited the Britt Scripps Inn for our 10th anniversary. We chose it because it looked beautiful online and it's proximity to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. It is located in Bankers Hill, a business district with some nice restaurants. We arrived in the evening, and had to be let in, as the hotel apparently... More

This inn is a wonderful change from the cookie cutter hotels. The place is well maintained and the rooms are nicely appointed. We stayed in one of the ground floor rooms which did have more noise from the lobby and kitchen traffic, but this was not overly distracting. More annoying was the temperature of the room which was too high... More

This guest house is by far the best in San Diego. It has gorgeous individually decorated rooms, recently refurbished and with great attention to detail for comfort, this was a perfect place to stay. Near the park (for running) and zoo and only a 10 min walk into town, passing lots of restaurants on the way. It's in a quiet... More

We booked this place in the end of November. I checked many places to stay in San Diego and have choosen this one due to its location and opportunity to book a small separate house (though price was pretty high), not a room in the main building. I also checked references and thought it would be a special place to... More

We stayed here for a week in August. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed. The included breakfast was good, but did get a little boring with the repeats after a week. I ended up mostly requesting fruit and a scone (very yummy). The only real negative was the bath/shower. That has more to do with me than... More

My husband and I were inspired by excellent reviews and booked this hotel direct through their website ( a specific accommodation-the small cottage), received confirmation and the cost of first night 240 USD was charged to our account, and just arrived after 24h international travel to find the place completely abandoned, no lights no people just a handwritten note that... The hub and I stayed here on a weekend trip for his birthday. We were so pleased with our choice of Britt Scripps Inn! The location is ideal...close to the park and walkable distance from Gaslamp. The staff were also friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed meeting the other couples who were visiting during the evening wine & cheese gathering. I... More

We recently stayed at the Britt Scripps Inn in San Diego and were absolutely delighted with it. Our very private room was in the Carriage House and outfitted with a comfortable bed and a lovely bath. The house itself is well kept and everything was extremely clean. Breakfast included some excellent local sausage and a homemade scone, along with eggs,... More
