Had to book a place last minute for work and found the Thompson LES by accident. Ended up being a great decision -- they upgraded my room (to the Penthouse) and provided excellent service. Will definitely head back there the next time I have business in NYC.

I stayed at this hotel last week on Wednesday night. Almost every hotel in NY was sold out by the time I made my reservation, and what was left were being offered at absurd prices, even for NY (eg - the Sheraton TriBeCa for $995/night). I was able to book one of the last rooms at Thompson LES for $450,... More

We stayed here over Christmas and the room was fab - someone at work had stayed a few months before and recommended it. We were on the 15th floor and had an amazing view at night. There are loads of places to eat/ gig venues and a wholefood shop nearby. The rest of the hotel was quiet and the reception... More

My partner and I are frequent visitors to Manhattan and have stayed in many parts of town. Our favorite areas are Soho and The Lower East side, so the Thompson LES is perfectly situated. We had a King Studio suite which we paid for in advance on Jesetter. The room was large and well appointed. The service was impressive. When... More

I stayed at the Thompson LES from 30 April - 4 May 2012 with my girlfriend. We had decided to spend a few days in New York on holiday before a wedding on the weekend. On my third day in the hotel I reported that £200 had been taken from a zipped pocket in my bag, in my room. Hotel... More

Dear Tom B, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Please accept my sincerest apology for the way the incident with your lost bag was handled, the lack of customer service and follow up during your stay and after your departure. I can offer no excuses for the shortcomings of my team but I can assure you that I... More

I went to New York to see a play, and chose the Thompson LES hotel because it was relatively close to the theater (Public Theater on Lafayette St. near Astor Place). I was generally pleased with the hotel. My room was on the 11th floor overlooking Allen Street, with nice views in both directions. But be aware that there is... More

Where do I begin? * Didn't give me my wake-up call so I missed a meeting during a business trip. * When my friend (also staying there) was at the front desk, the person at the desk snapped "Are you going to look at me when I talk to you?" because she was on her blackberry during a business trip.... This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. Front desk people are great. Room design is so cool & the showers are a real indulgence, beds are comfortable, if a tad on the hard side. We also had problems with the air conditioning in one of our 2 rooms, but it was fixed quickly. While they do not have connecting... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Thompson LES. Loved the neighborhood! only complaint is that we could not cool down the room. It was near 80 almost the entire time. Complained once and they sent someone right up. They said because it was still cool outside that the hotels ac unit wont kick on until it hits a certain temperature. Well... More

Been here twice in two weeks. First time had corner suite w balcony. Great rain forest shower heads. Second time had regular king, still spacious with window that opens. Hardwood floors, great down comforters and flat screen TV. Awesome deck on 7th, and bar on 16th floors. Room service prompt, staff friendly and helpful.
