We reserved a room at the studios 99 first time ever.arrived in October 2022 and checked out in january 2023there is a variety of rooms ranging from basic, with kitchenette and the en suite and rates are accordingly.all rooms are cleaned and bed sheets and towels changed weekly.communal areas as well as bathrooms are disinfected daily more than once.all areas are spotlessly clean.the location super convenient.3 blocks away from the subway as well as all buses going downtown or uptown run on broadway.a variety of restaurants, bars, coffe shops, grocery and convenient stores surrounding the area.all personnel from the smiley chambermaids,to the helpful handyman and from the kind ,courteous receptionists to the friendly manager Ignacio are just the best.thank you all and cannot wait to see you again soon

The hotel is a sham. I booked a double room and got a single room. Made the booking via trip.com and they were no help whatsoever. When I asked them to give me a double room (because well that’s what I paid the money for right) I was asked to pay more money and would still get the room for only 13 days out of a possible 30 days of my stay and they expected to move out again for the last couple of days of my stay. So it basically meant changing rooms 3 times for me and pay more for something which I was already charged. No one at the front desk knows anything. The laundry machines work but cannot get a card to do the laundry coz surprise surprise the machine to put the money in is full. The heating is awful. They’ve covered the air conditioning with some sort of plastic through which air is passing through. It’s December and freezing outside and we’ll I’ve got no option because the room is non refundable. Trip.com and the hotel management are scamming people here. I’m living a nightmare here in the hotel. I’m sorry but my advise would be to steer clear of this pathetic hotel and it’s management.

I stayed for 3 months in Hotel 99 and my stay was great! My big surprise was that the rooms were newly renovated and they look awesome. Comfortable matress, spacious shared kitchen and clean shared bathroom. The neighbordhood is safe and it's located just 10 minutes away from Manhattan. I'd definitely stay here again!

We were going to be for two months accommodated at Hotel 99, but the COVID-19 frustrated our plans and we just stayed for a week. We used the laundry and I used one of the dryer machines and it didn't worked; Ashleigh reimbursed us the money and called the housekeeping staff to borrow us one of theirs, all this without asking, she was really empathetic. COVID-19 arrived, and as she knew we were not going to leave and she had available rooms, she upgraded us to a room with private toilet, and again, without having asked for it. The Staff was also amazing, Johanna helped us to use the TV, Carlos brought us an extra desk & chair to allow us to work. Hot water didn't worked on Sunday, and as I told Ashleigh in less than an hour it was fixed. Shared bathrooms and kitchens are really clean, and people is very respectful. The situation of the Hotel is in a very good area with plenty of supermarkets, and other stores, not too noisy (don't forget that you are in NYC, not at your home in the middle of the mountains). Many city bikes stations, subway station, Express 3 stopping 3 street away from the hotel, not more than 5 minutes walking. Central Park is very close too. Unfortunately we had to leave and come back home to Spain because of the health situation of the country, our insurance, and air space supposed to be closed. We only have kind words for the Hotel, the Staff, the people we met there! We totally recommend this Hotel for short or even longer accommodation.

I stayed at this place because I was meeting someone in New York already staying in the hotel so just stayed there also. Basic no frills but clean. Rooms vary, the one we had was large with two small double beds and a mini fridge. There’s a kitchen and bathroom sharing policy which is cleaned daily. Did complain once about the apparently cleaned bathroom to the reception who quickly called housekeeping to get it sorted and true to their word, when we came back from going out, the bathroom was cleaned. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, providing a 24 HR service. Location can be a little noisy but it’s near the metro and has a 24 HR mini grocery 5 mins away, very handy ! Safe decent neighbourhood.

This place is very well located: on Broadway, not too far from Central Park, 2 minutes from 1,2,3 metro station. Many coffee shops and supermarkets all around.. The rooms are clean and have cable TV and WIFI. The reception is 24h and of excellent service! I would recommend it!

it's truly incredible how the only elevator can be out of service for 4 days straight, work for a day or 2, and then suddenly be out of service again for another 3-4 days straight. This has been going on for the past month with no additional information given to the residents. I am staying on the 7th floor and so leaving my small room is hassle. Additionally, the kitchens here are not good; the stove is not level and so the pans slide all over the place. If you can afford it, I would stay elsewhere.

Location is great but be prepared to haul your luggage 7 floors up without elevator in the scorching summer heat. Elevator is always out of service, every day for weeks on end. The location is good but at the intersection there are homeless people who gather and are loud at all hours of the night. The fact that there are benches, they just stay there day and night. The good thing about this place is that the staff is friendly and is conveniently located if you can live without the elevator (hauling luggage 7 floor up and having to use the stairs when leaving and returning), and the noisy homeless outside.
