From what I can tell, Affinia Gardens rooms are larger than you would expect for NYC. 4 adult women stayed here for 4 days- We chose it for the kitchen facilities- but I was surprised to see no dining table or really anyplace to eat! We generally only ate breakfast here and enjoyed having a full fridge to store wine... More

Although there was construction going on in the lobby as part of the hotel's upgrade, it was still a very pleasant stay. Our bedroom suite was spacious, well appointed (the beds were very comfy and there's a menu of pillows) lots of windows overlooking a parkette. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The coffee was good thereby excluding a... More

This converted apartment building provides an exceptionally large room with king bed, full sofa, 46 in. flat TV, and a nicely appointed bath. However, there are no other facilities such as a restaurant or sitting areas. There is limited room service from a few area restaurants, but plenty of places within walking distance. Staff is minimal but helpful, if not... More

Years ago I stayed here when it was Lyden Gardens and remembered it as charming, with a location that can't be beat. Well, the location is still great, but this time around it held no charm for me. Many of the flaws have been described by others, so I'll just list them: (1) our preferred room type was not availailable... More

The pictures on line are not taken at this hotel because the rooms are not that nice. I had a two room suite, it was neat and clean but looked nothing like the pictures on the line however the hotel is under construction. No free wifi in your room, no resturant, no spa and a lobby that seats 4 people... More

I have to agree with another review on the wifi access. We booked this hotel on the understanding there was free wifi but when we arrived we found out there was only free wifi if you were in the lobby where they were doing full on renovations. Also it is very easy to accidentally log on to the non free... More

We have stayed several times at this property over the past 2 years. Location is great, rooms are spacious, kitchen is fabulous, and the staff is very friendly and professional. And I would like to give it 4 or 5 stars. BUT, the WiFi charge is outrageous, and is starting to make me rethink our hotel choice. I don't mind... More

The suite was large, but very rundown. Appliances were old and out of date. Poor shower. A real lack of attention to traveler's needs exists here. There was no coffee at the coffee bar in the morning. I asked when they ran out and they said they ran out the day before. There are two elevators, one of which is... More

This was my first stay at Affinia Gardens. I was traveling with my husband and my dog. The staff, including Jerry and Terry, were exceptionally helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood (great for dog walking) close enough to museums and shows without being in the heart of busier, touristy areas.... More

Me and my mom stayed here last summer for our first visit to the City. We knew we absolutely did not want to do the typical tourist/Times Square thing. I, being the location snob I am, insisted on staying on the UES. Luckily, Affinia Gardens offers the perfect locale at reasonable prices. It's very close to the Lexington/63rd St subway... More
