Great location (around 12 th street, Independence Mall is on 5th), wonderful (read: prentifull and tasty) buffet breakfast, helpful staff (will print you directions and give recommendations:). Security guard that lurks around the hotel is a bit annoying though. Now for the price: around $200 per night, plus $38 fee for valet parking, plus tax. Rooms are consistent with Marriott... More

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The location is great downtown and in walking distance to practically anything. My favorite part is its proximity to Reading Terminal Market where I often eat.

My husband and I went to this hotel as it was recommended for a wedding that we were attending. The location was perfect! Close to shops and central to all the sights in Philadelphia (Liberty bell, Independence hall - 15 minute walk, Love park - 5 minute walk, Reading terminal -2 minute walk, Chinatown-10 minute walk). Their pool and spa... More

Two of us stayed here May 24-26, 2012. Our first time in Philly taking in the historic sites. Location is great! Maybe 10 min walk to Independence Park. HOHO bus tours stop at the Marriott at same corner as Reading Terminal Market, just one block out the back door of the Courtyard. This is a beautiful hotel. Smallish, but grand... More

Was our first trip to Philadelphia to attend large crew regatta on the Schuylkill River. Races were a fast 5 miles (had to ask cab drivers to slow down) from hotel. The hotel is in a great central location, close to historical sites, shopping, restaurants, tour buses and Reading Terminal Market. We had adjoining rooms that were very clean, comfortable... More

The location is 1 block away from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. It's also within walking distance of most of the historical sites, which is a bonus too! Rooms are spacious and clean. Free internet was a little temperamental, but it worked. Big negative in that they charge for access to the business... More

One of the nicest hotel experiences I've had in awhile. Was staying for two nights with a large group in a room blocked for us. Called Marriott 800 # to try to get room with City Hall view, but was told none were available. Called hotel directly and Brooke spent a lot of time until she found me one. View... More

Location: The location is perfect for launching into Philadelphia sightseeing. We had no problems hailing cabs when needed and there is plenty of great stuff to do nearby. Positives: Our room had two queen beds, clean and comfortable. The room also had a mini-fridge, LCD HD TV and ihome alarm clock. The bathroom was average with a single sink and... More

Traveled to Philly for one night on business. Chose the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown because it was close to my meeting location. Took a cab to the hotel to avoid parking challenges. Great choice because valet parking is $38 a night. Cab ride to/from airport super easy and about $32. All Philly cabs have credit card machines in the back... More

This hotel is located right across from City Hall in the heart of Phila, and used to be the City Hall annex. It is a lovely, solidly built, old (1920s) building that has been recently renovated -- the rooms are spacious, clean, and have a neat look. Basics like the air conditioning work. A problem, however, is that the only... More
