The room was good, and the location was one block from the convention center, also close to city hall, Reading terminal market. Room cost moderately high, free internet, but $40/day for parking. If you want downtown, this is a good choice.

When I first walked in, I didn't think I was going to like this hotel. It's an old building, built in the 1920s that has been renovated and turned into a hotel. I was here for a medical meeting that was taking place in the way-to- big Philadelphia Convention Center. ( it's like having a convention in the Atlanta airport,... More

We were in town with family for alumni weekend, and to do some sightseeing with the kids. It is very conveniently-located and within walking distance from everything we wanted to see during our short stay. I realize this is not supposed to be a high-end resort, but the rooms were very small and plain, with almost a hospital-like feel, with... More

Since it's in the city, it may not be as inexpensive as other Courtyard hotels, but this one is, in my opinion, a step up from most Courtyards. I stayed at this hotel recently for one night on a business trip. The building is historic, but totally updated and comfortable. It's in the center of Philadelphia and easy to get... More

I needed to come to Philadelphia for my son's college graduation and the hotels jack up the rates like crazy because they know that dedicated parents, who paid a fortune for their children's education will pay anything to see them graduate. I planned way ahead and booked this room 5 months early and got a great rate. This hotel is... More

Stayed last Saturday evening at a special rate as part of a Penn Alumni reunion. Arrived in mid afternoon via the subway from the Penn Campus. The hotel was right next to the 13th Street stop. The checkin was done by a very polite front desk person. The room was on the 7th floor and quite satisfactory. It was quite... More

We don't have cable or any other premium channel, and watch Mad Men in our rural PA home every Sun. night, but could not watch it on Sun. night during its regular season at this hotel. Why not? Internet VERY slow. View from our room was of building across the way. Temperature difficult to regulate, we either froze or sweat.... More

Thank you for your comments on your recent visit. Please accept my sincere apology for a less than satisfactory stay. For $250 per night stay, you should have a memorable experience. Our engineering department inspected and fixed the thermostat in the room making sure that it is functioning properly. We would welcome speaking with you further on the matter and... More

My husband and I stayed this last weekend and found that the location was great, and that the bulding is beautiful, but the flor of our room's bathtub was horrible, dirty and sticky. The elevator with the exit near the other Marriot was always smelling like a trashcan. The service was ok, but not as friendly as you wish employes... More

Unlike most Courtyards, this is an classic old build right in downtown Phily, right near the regular Marriott and the Residence Inn literally within a block or so of each other. Great walking distance to many sites and were treated well. Breakfast and dinner OK, nice gym area pool real small but not unusual for a hotel.

I stayed here during a congress and brought my family with me. The people at the desk were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
