The hotel has undergone a renovation and was lovely. The amenities such as free wi-fi and free use of an iPad were great. However, everything else notwithstanding the ultimate goal of staying in a hotel is to get a good night sleep. After returning to the hotel late at night and getting prepared for bed my wife turned down the... More

This hotel is located in west Philly (Drexel, Penn) with easy on/off access to the Schuylkill Expressway considering it is a city hotel. Only parking available through the hotel is valet ($39/day)(park on your own in a nearby garage for $25/day). Service was impeccable. Valet parking and bellhop staff were very friendly and helpful; front desk staff was very professional.... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel last night. It was a last minute decision as we approached Philadelphia for a spontaneous weekend getaway, we called around and all the downtown hotels were sold out. It was a great decision...beautiful rooms, very clean, high tech- there was an iPad in each room.. Though in university city, a mere... More

Thank you for your thoughtful review of the Inn at Penn this past weekend. I do apologize that you did not get what you ordered. I have checked with our housekeeping department and they don't show any orders from the iPads that were not fulfilled. It may very well have been a technology issue. Since the information you provided doesn't... More

Stayed one night at the Hilton Inn At Penn for a conference. The beautifully appointed room reminded me of hotels in Europe. This "smart room' was activated with your room key, turning on the lights and air conditioning. The room also had a complementary IPad. The glass-enclosed shower is huge. I would definitely stay here again when in Philly.

The staff were very nice. The rooms were your typical room, very comfortable bed, the bathroom was nice, the shower was very large. The one big thing is, the parking is a rip off! At $39 a night was steep, but when we went to check out, they charged us twice for each night we were there. I called the... More

The rooms and bath are spacious and very tidy and also very quiet, so you can have a good nights sleep. The breakfast was good and you could choose between continental and all american. The continental one included good fruid and bread selection and the service was friendly. The staff was very friendly in the hotel and the consierge very... More

What can I say? For Graduation Weekend, this is, unfortunately, the only game in town. Staying in Philadelphia proper is too far away (due to traffic), and to get to UPenn graduation sites quickly, this is the hotel to choose. But that’s the only reason. During Graduation Week, the hotel doubles its prices. This is a complete rip-off. The rooms... More

Dear MommyG60, I'm sorry that you apparently feel that a business that charges much higher prices during a major special event is unreasonable. As our demand increases by factors of 10 to 20X normal demand during the University of Pennsylvania's Graduation we, and other hotels in the city , increase our rates, just as hotels, airlines, car rental companies, etc... I had 2 connecting rooms for 2 nights back in January. Check-in took a little while but I arrived during the evening rush. Plenty of staff present so I wasn't upset. Rooms were beautiful. Love the iPad in their for your use. I understand the hotel doesn't have a garage but with the Valet being as costly as it was,... More

The location of this hotel if you are visiting Penn is fantastic. The hotel itself looks pretty good on the surface. The lobby and restaurant are attractive if a little fussy in that typical hotel style. Our room was nice too. In particular, the bathroom was much nicer than your typical Hilton, and had just recently been redone. Great lighting... More

We live only 30 minutes outside the city but stayed here for the Dionne Warwick concert at the Annenberg. The service was perfect from the vallet, reception desk and especially Bessie the Concierge who knows everything about the city and issuch a pleasant person to deal with. Our room was exceptionally clean and had been recently upgraded from top to... More
