1862 was one of the best places I have had the pleasure of eating! I am very pleased to be nominated for membership to have access to the entire club, but especially 1862.
- Union League Philadelphia

1862 was one of the best places I have had the pleasure of eating! I am very pleased to be nominated for membership to have access to the entire club, but especially 1862.
I recently had an overnight at the Inn at the Union League in Philadelphia. First of all the Hotel was "THE BEST". But the rest of the Union League is right out of a movie - LITERALLY! (There was even a scene from the 80's movie Trading Places filmed there.) The location of the Union League is the best -...

One of the best restaurants ever; the food is great, the sommelier is excellent and the atmosphere is unique. I dine there often, most for business, and I can recommend this place to anyone. You may probably not get in easily if you're not a member of the Union League however a member can always bring you in under his/her...

The Inn at Union League is a beautiful, historic club/hotel located in a great area of Philadelphia with proximity to the convention center and other key places. The rooms are large, nicely furnished and very clean and the staff was helpful and very courteous. We loved staying here and would definitely do so again. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We...

My wife and I stayed at the UL a few weeks ago. We had a very nice suite. Breakfast included. Total bill was less than $250.
There are several great restaurants and bars within walking distance. This area of the city is very safe.
I really do not understand people who say they were treated rudely. I am not a...

This was my first time at the Inn. The staff was great. I had breakfast, lunch, dinner and cigars here. Every meal was perfect! The rooms were large and clean and the bathrooms were very old school. Thick tile, very art deco.
The Union League is an exceptional club with a terrific history and outstanding location. For overnight guests I would recommend you stay in a traditional hotel as you will probably be a bit more comfortable. I stayed because of a luncheon and speech at the League and was very well received, taken care of, and fed. Oh yeah...make sure you...

The majority of the staff were rude. They made guests feel as if they were not welcome because they are not actually members of the League. The dress-code is ridiculous. The people that I encountered that were members seemed to think very highly of themselves. The walls in the room must have been as thin as paper because I could...

Though I'm not a member, I've been a guest on many occasions for functions and meals. As mentioned in my title, this place exudes old English charm and the hospitality is next to none. The food and the service is exquisite. You will certainly not be disappointed by your visit here.
This place screams class. Old school, classic motif with paintings and sculptures of US Presidents and historical events. Jackets necessary at all times. No jeans. All the reviews are pretty accurate so read closely, but here's some other stuff to know-
Great breakfast, included in price of room. Omelet station, Belgian waffle station (Best Belgian waffle I ever had), normal...
