After arriving for buisness, I never wanted to leave, Kathy was so warm, kind and caring, I spent most of my vacation with Kathy. I personally cant wait to go back. Kathy has Antiques everywhere you could spend hours just looking at so many wonderful items, reading relaxing. Fresh coffee cheese danish cereal toast and wonderful homemade jam, Kathy puts... More

My second visit to "The Columns" was pleasant. As before The staff were warm and welcoming, and accomodating of a long list of food allergies. I appreciate the independence allowed by the innkeeper and the thorough historic knowledge she has and shares with guests.

My husband and I called to make a reservation for this poor excuse of a B&B for one night, less than 24 hours before our expected stay. When we arrived, we rang the doorbell and waited at least 5 minutes for Kathy, the innkeeper to appear. We were greeted with a woman whose clothes were dirty and she was already... More

My wife & I stayed at the Columns on Clinton B&B for 5 days Nov 2010. We were very pleased w our accomodations. Picturesque historical house (1848) & tree lined street, brick sidewalks, very quiet, great location - 10 min walk to downtown convention center & historical sites. Our room & floor bathroom spacious, clean, quiet. We were more than... More

I visited a few years ago (not 2010, as the dropdown says) when I had to be in Center City for an early-morning event. I phoned to let the owner know I would be arriving later in the afternoon than planned. She was away, till late at night. Finally she returned my message and told me to go get the... More

The whole time I was there was wonderful except 2 things. 1. was having to climb four flights of stairs. 2. the smell of cat pee on the first floor. Other than that, it was a wonderful vew and close to everything. The house was beautiful and if you're on Kathy (owner's) good side, she has so much great hospitality.... More

I just stayed at the Columns while attending a conference and really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and included very interesting antiques, the food was fine, and I liked the innkeeper quite a bit. When I said I wasn't feeling well after a turbulent flight, she went out of her way to give me some tea and lozenges.... More

I was in Philadelphia with some friends for a conference at the Marriott on Market Street but as it was full and expensive, The Columns seemed like a charming alternative from the online description (can't find that review now funnily enough though...). Initially we were delighted, the rooms were well designed with interesting wallpaper, fittings and books, each with a... More

I stayed one night at Columns and it was quite possibly the worst B&B experience I've ever had. While this large house is in a lovely location, the breakfast was unpalatable, the house was cluttered and dirty, and the innkeeper's behavior was appallingly. Another B&B, Antique Row, was full and they recommended Columns. When we called to make a reservation,... More
