My husband and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. It is in a great location for visiting the historical sights in Philadelphia. There are many places to eat a meal ranging from cheesesteak places to a historic tavern to upscale ethnic restaurants. We felt safe at all times walking to dinner at. night. The hotel was very clean. Our... More

This Best Western hotel was a great value. It is located within 10 minutes walk to Independence Hall, 5 minute walk to the waterfront, and 20 minute walk to fantastic shopping. Such location is priceless. Although the matress was a bit on the soft side, the rooms were comfortable and adequate and we did not hear any of the nightlife... More

I found the price of the hotel a little expensive, but I guess when you factor in the fact that it is centrally located downtown (next to bars and sightseeing) and they provided free breakfast it makes sense. The breakfast was actually really good and had some healthy options. The hotel is small. I would categorize the room I was... More

My family has stayed at this hotel numerous times, When you come in the lobby, it feels like you are entering a drawing room rather than an antiseptic hotel lobby. It is a small building. The rooms are nicely furnished and always clean. The breakfast is not the very best, but the dining room is very pleasant to have your... More

Once again, I made the mistake of trying to salvage a few bucks and trusting in the many positive reviews from other Trip Advisor folks. In a similar vein to someone's review that noted that this hotel smell's like grandma's house, my first impression came as I walked in and inhaled the sickening, old house scent. Ever been in a... This is a small hotel, that is a little tired. The room was on the small side but had everything that we needed and it was clean and comfortable Continental breakfast was included in the price which was a nice surprise The area was handy for site seeing with lots of bars and food around

This hotel worked quite well for our purposes. We had two queen rooms for our family. I found the staff very helpful. They checked our bags before we were able to check into our room and they held them after while we went to visit more after checking out. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The neighborhood wasn't too noisy.... More

And I don't mean that in a good way. Here are the good points, it is extremely well located to sights, restaurants and businesses. The staff is super sweet and amenable. HOWEVER, the rooms and building itself is musty and claustrophobic feeling. While I wouldn't call the rooms dirty, the disrepair and worn, tired look makes you feel like it... More
