This hotel was fairly easy to get to, plus had lots of free parking. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful.
As stated in other reviews, this hotel does need some renovation, as it's very old. It was clean enough, but it needs to be updated and bathrooms re-done to be up to par with other Best Westerns....

I stayed over on Friday, April 27, 2012 because I got stranded in Philadelphia without a car. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room rate was reasonable. HOWEVER, the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly, the carpets were dirty, the room was seedy, the plumbing needed attention and there were insufficient electrical outlets in the room....

This hotel is just a few blocks from the Art Museum and not far from Center City. Parking is free. Some of the people at the front desk were friendly, others not very pleasant. Old hotel trying hard to get a grip. Location is only good if you are going to museums in north part of central city, otherwise its quite a walk to anywhere worthwhile. Free parking is a plus but there are much nicer places centrally located for same price or less.
