This hotel was fairly easy to get to, plus had lots of free parking. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. As stated in other reviews, this hotel does need some renovation, as it's very old. It was clean enough, but it needs to be updated and bathrooms re-done to be up to par with other Best Westerns.... We booked this hotel to enjoy St. Patrick's Day and be near a 5k race that was at the Art Museum. We pulled in around check-in time and were pleased with the ample free off-street parking which is hard to find in Philly. There were a lot of patrons at the hotel bar given the holiday and I was a... More

I stayed over on Friday, April 27, 2012 because I got stranded in Philadelphia without a car. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room rate was reasonable. HOWEVER, the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly, the carpets were dirty, the room was seedy, the plumbing needed attention and there were insufficient electrical outlets in the room.... More

I recently stayed at the Best Western, Center City on 4/28/12 and the hotel is just below average. However, the hotel has lots of potential. They need to shut it down and do a complete reservation. I’m not a huge fan of the Best Western chain of hotels, but I normally stay at the one in Chester, PA and that’s... More

Stayed here for 1 night only on a business trip. There were no other options in the area for some reason the entire city was sold out. The whole place should be knocked to the ground and rebuilt. Everything from the rugs, the drapes, the curtains, towels, sheets, furniture looked like they were from circa 1970 and haven't been cleaned... More

This hotel is just a few blocks from the Art Museum and not far from Center City. Parking is free. Some of the people at the front desk were friendly, others not very pleasant. The room was dingy and only moderately clean. The floor didn't appear to have been vacuumed recently and there was hair in the sink and tub.... More

Well, on the plus side, the hotel was only 3-4 blocks from the philadelphia museum, and on the down side, slightly dingy, dark with rude check in guy. The price was better directly on the best western site than on travel sites. Good enough place to stay while in philly if you're main aim is to see the museum. Free... More

The ONLY things this hotel has going for it is location and free parking. It is old and poorly maintained, and worst of all poor customer service. When I requested extra towels I was scolded for calling more than once (even though it was my first call) and of course, the towels never arrived. I only stayed there because we... More

Old hotel trying hard to get a grip. Location is only good if you are going to museums in north part of central city, otherwise its quite a walk to anywhere worthwhile. Free parking is a plus but there are much nicer places centrally located for same price or less.
