This a an older motel consistent with Route 66 ties. I was so hesitant to stay I asked to see rooms before committing. I was pleasantly surprised. My room was clean and comfortable. Sure there are age issues but everything was in working order and the price was right. The family that owns this motel are very nice and gracious.

Our family of four enjoyed our night at the Sands. We arrived late and only spent 1 night but would have stayed longer if we had time. Staff was very polite and room was spacious and clean. Microwave and refrig in room also. Very economical at $40 for 4 (we had a coupon from a travel guide).
