and are really glad we stayed at the Commodore. For the money its tough to beat. Don't be a wuss about the shared bathroom/shower because both were well kept. The walls were a little thin as I could hear the next room overs occupant snoring. Just spend a couple hours up at the Fort George brewery(a couple blocks away) and... More

We only stayed one night, but it really fit the bill. For the price it would be hard to beat. It looked like it had been recently renovated, and they did a great job with the interior design. The shared bathrooms were spotless. There's a coffee shop that connects directly to the lobby had a pretty decent breakfast, and street... More

This hotel was great and has a terrific location. The room was small, but clean and the bed was very comfortable. We booked a room without a bathroom, it seemed like the hotel was fairly full, but the bathroom was always available. What previous reviewers said is true, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, but I... More

This is my second time at the Commodore, and if anything, the service has improved along with the amenities. We had a corner room on the third floor with a great view of the downtown area. There was a nice sitting area with a couch. The long formica coffee table had some chips and dings for you perfectionists, but the... More

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend and loved it! We got a deluxe cabin to have a bit more room and an exterior window. The bed was comfortable, we got a few dvds from the lobby to enjoy with our brews from Fort George Brewery. It was such a nice getaway!

After hearing such wonderful things about the Commodore from friends who had either worked or stayed there, we were really excited to finally get a chance to enjoy the Commodore. But there were some things that will effect if we stay there in the future. The road noise in impressive. I've even lived in NYC... and the single paned windows... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Commodore Hotel recently and loved the place to death. Living In Portland, Oregon it's always nice to get out of the city and try different/unique hotels on the coast and the Commodore didn't let us down. Imagine the Ace Hotel but with a coastal twist/feel to it. Friendly desk staff, rad coffee shop... More

Killer location, great price and incredible service. The staff was beyond accommodating and the room was great. Unfortunately you get to hear every conversation within a block of your room. Astoria has a much more urban vibe than other cities on the Oregon coast and people are out much later. This is a good thing unless your a light sleeper.... More

Love this place - the design and decor are excellent quality, like you'd see in Seattle or Portland. Welcomed warmly and got settled quickly. I chose a single room w/shared bath on the interior to keep any road noise at bay. I was on the top floor, and still enjoyed large vintage swing-open window that opened between hotel and neighbor.... My friend and I took a little weekend trip to the OR coast, and she booked us a cabin at the Commodore. I was a little nervous that the rooms looked so small, but I slept so well and it was so cozy and comfortable! I loved the decor, a perfect mix of vintage, rustic, nautical, and modern looks. The...
