Very clean and well appointed room and great bed.Dogs were annoying.Only 2 drawbacks were minor plumbing problem and very inferior (definitely not "expanded") continental breakfast. On site parking is a plus. Stayed at Kenmore in the past and would do so again even though it is not as centrally located.

If you like antiques, and you're satisfied with a primitive heating/cooling system, shabby bathrooms, second-rate plumbing, and third-rate breakfasts, you may enjoy the Richard Johnston Inn. If not, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I'm not a very good reviewer, but made a quick get away to RJ. I live close by. I stayed in the Frejus which is at the top of the stairs. The furnishings are wonderful and it was so relaxing. Bonnie, the inn keeper was a sweetheart and I enjoyed meeting my fellow guests at a sumptuous breakfast feast.
