Average room; expensive restaurant. Not the best value I've had...
Spent one night here waiting for a train tour. The room was medium, and the elevators a long walk from the lobby. The highlight was probably breakfast in the lobby cafe. Good buffet with some of the best carved ham we've had in some time.
The staff was always friendly from checkin to the restaraunt to housekeeping. We stayed in the North tower (older section) and it was clean & nice. The walls are thin so you can hear the conversation next door if they talk at any volumne. We were up visiting family so only ate in the restaurant once for lunch in 3...

Nice clean hotel food was ok nothing out of the ordinary
I went to Fairbanks in May 2012 on a business trip. I stayed in this hotel for 7 days, 6 nights. The rooms are comfortable, the service is friendly and it is very close to Ft Wainwright.
The hotel lobby is very spacious and the gift shop has a wide assortment. The business center computers are a bit dated, but...

Beware asthmatics. There are terribly strong chemical air fresheners used in the downstairs public restrooms, and the hallway corridors nearby are overwhelmed with air freshener chemicals from these restrooms.
I stayed here for a two day conference, checking in on Sunday and out on Wednesday. The lobby is very nice but deceiving. Front desk staff was rude at check-in, however different front desk staff were nicer later. Gift shop attendant is also the barista and acts like you are bothering her. She never once cracked a smile. Breakfast staff...

We stayed for two days and found the hotel to be clean with a pleasant staff. The bed was comfortable, the pillows huge and things were quiet. The worst thing was the dated bathroom fixtures - big deal! Everything was clean as well. Our complimentary continental breakfast was much healthier than most and included a very nice variety of food....

Overall the hotel is good but little things could be improved.
First the stuff are friendly but have very little information for tourists. They sent me to an adress of the old visitor center that has moved 3 years ago. Second there is no internet in the rooms, you are suppose to use the lobby where is close to the...

I stayed almost a week, Sunday through Friday, and had a great experience. The room was nice and had refrigerator and microwave - handy for snacks. There was a sitting area with a TV and another TV in the sleeping area.
The staff members are all friendly and VERY helpful. There weren't any requests I made that weren't positively resolved...
