This was our first experience of a Westmark Hotel, the brand owned and operated by Holland America. The drawback to this hotel was its location - in the old part of Fairbanks and far away from restaurants and shops. This meant that we had to eat in the hotel. The room is large and has a small kitchenette one could microwave popcorn ( if one could find it!). There are two comfy armchairs and two TV's! Room was huge with 2 tv's & a kitchenette. Only major complaint was water pressure. Easy walking distance to downtown. Gift shop had coffee bar with fresh baked goods & was open late. Room was a bit warm, but ac is not expected in this part of the world.

Stayed at the Westmark as part of a cruise tour. The room was quite nice. The bathroom needs updating. There is no fridge or microwave. We attended a dog show in Fairbanks May 24-27. The Westmark was wonderful for us. They charged us an additional $10/day for the dogs.
