We really enjoyed our stay! The staff is nice, the breakfasts were wonderful, and the location is very convenient to a multitude of subway lines. We will definitely book 3B again for our next NYC trip.

What an amazing place! Gourmet breakfasts not to be missed. Enlightening, stimulating conversation (I even left with leads on books I want to read). Astoundingly affordable (I jumped at the deal on a bed in the two-bunk room) and convivial launching pad for Brooklyn and Manhattan.

We had high expectations, but they were surpassed. Rooms, location, people: Great! Brooklyn Bridge within walking distance. Easy subway connections. My impression is that a lot of interesting people stay there. Great conversations during the home-made breakfests.No elevators. No doormen. Just like home.
