Stay for an extended weekend while hiking at glacier national park. This little inn totally blew me away. There are swallows nests under the eves of the roof, so if you hang out in the little courtyard there are lots of birds always chirping around to keep you company. Inside there are cool old movie posters along the ceiling, as...

Stayed at Silver Jack Inn located in the small town of Baker, Nevada, right near the Great Basin National Park visitor center. Room was simple and small but was clean and just fine . Even had lawn chairs outside the door for a relaxing time under the trees full of chirping birds. Dinner with salad with homemade vinegrette dressing was...

If you think tiny denotes very small think again! This place is excellent only if you have only slept in closets all of your life. There were so many electrical wires hanging loose that I thought we would wind up fried before the night was over. Dirty and uncomfortable beyond description.
The restaurant, however, was pretty good and eclectic. I...

We stayed here mid October. Our friends had a room by the restaurant and we had two efficiencies down the road. It was a long walk between the rooms, at least a 1/4 of a mile. Their room had two doubles and a twin in a separate small bedroom, and a small shower only. It had a tiny fridge, too....

This place is so great! It is completely different then other motels and hotels we've stayed in the 5 weeks of our holliday. We slept a night in one of the rooms next to the restaurant and we loved it. Don't expect luxury, but when your level is a clean bed, a shower and a toilet in a clean room,...

I and two other people stayed at Silver Jack this summer, taking two (converted trailer) rooms. Both had a litany of dead insects on the floor. The accomodations are very sparse for the money.
The reason they have a non-refundable policy is because some of the rooms (including mine) are infested with either mosquito nests or bed bugs. I was...

We stayed in one of the twin bed rooms and I thought that the mattresses were very comfortable. It is what it is. A motel in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. It was old and a little run down, but for all that , the food was great and it was relatively clean.
Wife and I stayed one night in June, 2010. Drove more than 400 miles via Hoover Dam to get there after arriving on plane in Las Vegas earlier that day. The accomodations were OK for me but my wife had less-than-pleasant opinions of the motel. If you're going to spend a night in the area and if you expect decent...

My husband and I visited Great Basin National Park and stayed at the Silver Jack Inn in Baker, NV; population 52. It was nothing fancy for sure. It was a place to rest after a very long driving day. It was the perfect location for visiting Great Basin and the owner was an interesting fellow. There were other bikers staying...
