Stopped for the night at this nice lodge. Only 12 rooms. Nice, clean and great views of the Great Sand Dunes at the National Park. Lodge is inside the Park Entrance. Not much else around except for campgrounds. The Park is interesting and would recommend an overnight there. Great sunset and sunrise opportunities. Grills available. Hosts very informative and pleasant.

The location is perfect for those who want to dodge into the park for dawn or sunset photography. The view from our patio alone was great. Nice spacious room, absolutely the cleanest place we've ever seen. We loved this place. I would stay here again.

Since it is the only hotel close to the sand dunes I was worried it would not be nice however, i was pleasantly surprised. It is family run, clean and a great location. If you want a refrigerator upgrade the room and you will also get a grill outside to use and larger patio.
