We have stayed at various Mountain Shadows cabins over the last 5 years and we have been very disappointed the last 3 times. Cabins are in need of repair and updating. They also need to be deep cleaned as you can visually see dust/cobwebs and it's pretty disgusting. We almost left the maid a nasty note in her tip envelope... More

My fiancé and I stayed at “Birds Eye View” which is a Mountain Shadows Resorts owned property. We have stayed in other cabins in the Smoky’s, and this one is a disappointment. The property is in need of a refresh. The furniture is old and worn in appearance. This cabin advertised high-speed internet access; however, be aware this is not... More

We stayed in Mountain Shadow Resorts on Dec 27th – Dec 30th 2011. I researched several websites including trip advisors which all had reviews that gave me a 50/50 shot. I called hotels.com to talk to them about some of my questions to included is there ANY OTHER fees or hidden cost upon arrival? Hotels.com stated NO you only pay... More

This was our 3rd trip to Smoky Mountains & every time we have stayed with Mountain Shadow Resort. Never been disappointed. Cabins are clean & cozy. Has all necessary stuff,, kitchen is equipped and rooms are decorated nicely. One of the few places that offer 1 night stay , all other cabins require minimum of 2 nights. That works out... More

We got booked with this place through our wedding package. We arrive and it was poor. We were very unhappy and we left. The people at the front weren't nice. It's not bad I guess. It's liveable. But nothing for a honeymoon or something that you want to be memorable.

We spent a week at Sleepy Bear the last week in September. We booked through Interval International and thought the place sounded lovely. We arrived and found the cabin looked decidedly unloved and shabby. Although the beds were comfortable and there was enough room for four, much needed attention; wall plugs didn't work, the ironing board was broken, the iron... More

Stayed for our 1 year anniversary and it was great! We stayed in "Hugs n Kisses" Pros: Very close to all attractions Quiet Well spaced out Very informative packets in the cabin Clean Well kept Cons: Not enough towels Would not reccommend in the winter if you aren't used to mountain driving if you aren't used to the terrain

We stayed one weekend in June, and then had several cabins in July for our wedding weekend. The cabins were okay; some of them older than others. They were fairly clean with limited amenities that you would need. Location from Gatlinburg was okay but very very hilly in the cabin area. There is virtually NO parking, or very little parking... Stayed in Heart & Soul cabin, which is basically a duplex with a shared entryway. We found our cabin to be clean and well supplied. We had neighbors next door, but other than seeing a car, never would have known they were there. Had a hot tub both inside, and on a deck. that was completely private off the side... More
