We stayed at Fugitives Drift for three nights in mid April 2013. It was a great experience. It is clearly a place where a lot of thought has gone into customers stay. The staff are fantastic and I thought Grace was a star. I noticed another visitor saying goodbye to Grace and when she walked away from her, she had... More

What an amazing 3 night stay my husband and I had at Fugitives Drift. We knew it would be a very special experience but from the greeting we received on arrival to the emotional farewell the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The staff without exception, the accommodation, the ambiance, the battlefield tours, the food, the horse riding experience and stunning... More

A visit to Fugitive's Drift Lodge is likely to go hand in hand with an interest in the battles at Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. You could just stay here and enjoy the facilities, ambience and friendly staff but combining this with the tours adds immeasurably to the experience. An early start ( 0730 am sharp) beckons for Isandlwana and the... More

A visit to this place should be a must on everyone's "Top 10 Things to Do" list. From start to finish, our stay at Fugitive's Drift was a pleasure and the only thing that marred the trip was that we only had time to stay 1 day. Without exception, the staff were friendly, courteous and attentive to our every need.... More

We took our family to Fugitives Drift for three nights after Easter. We had a fantastic time there and would recommend it to everyone. We were looked after well; the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, our meals were delicious and varied and the setting of the Harford Library where lunch is served is breathtaking.... More

We stayed at Fugitive's Drift Guest House. The owners and staff were friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble to ensure your perfect stay. Sun downers round the "camp fire" preceded family style dining; the Manager joining the company and expertly ensuring all were comfortable and a part of the ambient dinner party atmosphere. Food was fantastic and accommodation... More

My whole family had a brilliant time saying at fugitives drift, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The quality of the battlefield tours was exceptional, and the guides ability to answer every question thrown at them was incredibly impressive. The accessibility of the tours for the whole family was also great, and it meant that no-one was ever bored! The... More

We stayed at Fugitive's Drift last week (at their rustic rental house). It was intended to be a simple stop-over for a large group with kids making their way back to Joburg from the coast, although we did have an interest in the Battlefields etc. I'll not go into detail on the 'normal' service etc. we received. Suffice to say,... More

Where do I begin. This trip to South Africa was for my 60th birthday and as a history buff this was supposed to be one of the highlights.....well it was even better than I could ever have imagined. A tremendous experience from start to finish. The accommodation, the food and the staff were just superb. Nothing was ever a problem... More

A truly special destination, an oasis in the middle of Zulu land. Amazing scenery coupled with animals and an amazing history that no other venue will ever be able to boast. If you are visiting the Battlefields this is the only place to go, you will never forget your stay. Well done to the owners and staff for continuing excellent... More
