I booked this hotel recently and was in town for business. The exterior looked very appealing, but when I arrived, checked in, and took my bags upstairs to my room, the hallways were horrible and smelled of bleach and mold. The ugly green carpet is very old and needs replacing. If the owner would invest a little money in just... More

Was booked at this hotel by a company I was working for in town (I shall refrain from sharing so as not to make them look bad for picking this hotel). Here's what I thought: BAD: -incredibly grimy and out-dated lobby, gym, hallways, furniture. -though clean, the bathroom was in terrible disrepair. -scratchy sheets, old comforters, no down anything. -stained... Stayed over Labor Day weekend had a great stay. It is an older hotel property but kept up well. Safe and secure gated parking, good hot breakfast. Definetely a good value for the money. Staff was great ,friendly and attentive and make up for any shortcomings. Will stay again when I am in town.

My family has been using Park Lane since 2005 when we took our son to UNCG. Each stay has been wonderful & the staff are very pleasant. This is shown from the General Manager - Kevin Raper down the line. The Assistant General Manager - Brian Kidd, concierge - Dana & Courtney, maintenance - Carl, housekeeping - Julius & Harry,... I was a bit nervous about staying here after reading the negative reviews, but for the price it's fine. The hotel is obviously old (it has the old fashioned timer heat lamps in the bathroom for instance,) but they keep it clean. There are no amenities except for the pool, but if you want a safe decent room to stay... More

I have stayed at the Parklane many times over the years and have always found the staff helpful, the rooms clean and quiet, and the price reasonable. The breakfast is very good as is the location.

Wish I could rank it higher as the people were lovely, but.... the hotel has seen its better days. On the plus side, the location is perfect, the room was clean and the staff attentive. Although the hallways smelled like mold, the smell was not in our room or in the breakfast area. Breakfast was very nice fresh fruit and... More

We thought we were staying at the four seasons due to the name but this was less than one season...this is a bad hotel, it smells!! From the dirty dinnerware and cot in the hallway on our first day to the old fitness center, this is not a good place to sty. The smell of chlorine from the pool greets... More

My sons team stayed at this hotel because of the vicinity to a tournament. The staff certainly did not go out of their way to welcome us. And when I called to request a late checkout, I was informed very abruptly that the checkout was at 11am and anything over that would be charged an extra night. This place wasvery... More
